Democrats’ plan to forbid these small businesses from fleeing Democrat-controlled cities will send a chill down your spine

All it takes is one look at America’s Democrat-controlled major cities to fully recognize that Democrats’ agenda has completely failed.

But the woke extremists who implemented their failed agenda simply aren’t capable of admitting that they were wrong.

And now Democrats’ plan to forbid these small businesses from fleeing Democrat-controlled cities will send a chill down your spine.

Hold onto your shopping carts, folks, because San Francisco is back at it again with another round of big government overreach.

Dean Preston, a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, is stirring up controversy with his latest proposal, ominously dubbed the “Grocery Protection Act.”

Preston’s proposal, reminiscent of failed Democrat measures from years past, would force grocery stores to jump through bureaucratic hoops before being allowed to close their business for any reason.

That’s right, Democrats don’t even want to allow working class Americans the freedom to close their own businesses without receiving the approval of the ruling class elites first.

According to Preston, the act aims to give communities a heads-up and a chance to respond when major supermarkets decide to close up shop. 

But while Democrats claim this massive power grab is about protecting neighborhoods, in reality, it’s nothing more than the next step in the ruling class elites’ push towards authoritarianism.

“It was a good idea in 1984, and it’s an even better idea now,” Preston proclaimed in a press release.

Under Preston’s proposal, grocery stores would be required to provide six months’ notice before closing, navigating a maze of red tape that could tie up business owners for months. 

And if that’s not enough, they’d also be on the hook for meeting with neighborhood residents and city officials to explore “alternative solutions.”

Preston’s plan includes a laundry list of exceptions, giving the ruling class’ corporate allies who can afford teams of attorneys plenty of loopholes to wiggle through, while keeping working class small business owners wrapped up in a bureaucratic nightmare.

With Democrat-controlled San Francisco already grappling with a crime and drug crisis, businesses are feeling the squeeze. 

Just last year, Whole Foods closed one of its locations in the Bay Area after facing a barrage of emergency calls and incidents. 

And now, Safeway is facing pressure to keep its doors open despite the challenges of operating in a Democrat-controlled city overrun by crime and chaos.

Working class Americans are sounding the alarm, warning that Preston’s proposal could spell disaster for small businesses already struggling to survive. 

By imposing burdensome regulations and tying the hands of business owners, San Francisco Democrats are seeking to solve the crises caused by their failed policies by implementing more failed policies that will only make matters worse.

As the battle over the “Grocery Protection Act” heats up, one thing is clear: Democrats will stop at nothing to seize total control over the American people.

Even if it means burning the entire economy to the ground in the process.
