Nancy Pelosi made one announcement that sent social media into chaos

After Democrats failed to regain control of the House majority in the 2022 Midterms Nancy Pelosi was relegated from her leadership position to that of just another Member of Congress.

Needless to say she hasn’t been dealing with it well and is desperate to remain relevant anyway she can.

And now Nancy Pelosi made one announcement that sent social media into chaos.

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has always been a polarizing figure.

She became infamous for using heavy-handed procedural tactics that enraged her political opponents.

During a speech to the 2010 legislative conference of the National Association of Counties, while lobbying for Obamacare, Pelosi once famously, and without a hint of self-awareness, responded to questions about what the bill actually contained by claiming that the Democrat-controlled Congress needed “to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it” – you know, because the entire thing was written by the very insurance and pharmaceutical corporations Democrats were claiming the bill was meant to bring under control.

It was a classic encapsulation of the left-wing ruling class elites’ authoritarian tendencies Democrats have now become known for.

It also made her politically toxic, and was a gift that kept on giving for Republican Congressional candidates across the country.

But now, after Democrats failed to regain control of the House in the 2022 Midterms, Rep. Pelosi is just another member of the Democrat caucus.

As such, she’s apparently resorting to feeding Democrats fear porn in her latest propaganda book in a desperate attempt to remain relevant.

Nothing motivates Democrats (while inducing yawns from everyone else) like January 6

According to publisher Simon and Schuster, Pelosi also will offer a “personal account” of the events that unfolded at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, as Congress voted to certify President Joe Biden’s victory over former President Donald Trump.

The publisher claimed in its announcement that “Pelosi shares that horrifying day and the traumatic aftermath for her and her family.”

Given that Pelosi found that day to be “horrifying” one wonders what range of emotions she would feel if she would only go for a walk in any of the less ritzy and decidedly more drug-riddled and crime-infested neighborhoods in her own Democrat-controlled hometown of San Francisco.

X users don’t seem to be chomping at the bit to buy Pelosi’s book

Social media users had fun at her expense given notice of the upcoming August book release.

X user Mixi-Mexi wrote, “made a few changes.”

Another poked fun at some of her more eye roll-inducing “greatest hits,” writing, “She is quite the lady. I hope some of these cool lines are in there 🤓”

Still others poked fun at her rumored affinity for alcoholic beverages.

LEAHmemes wrote (Ouch!), “Does it come with a free vodka subscription? Honestly she’d make more money with her own vodka brand than a book.”

Another joked about elected Democrats’ general awkwardness.

This is just the latest instance in which a Pelosi book generated political buzz.

In a separate book, it was said that Pelosi reportedly adopted a “child-like tone” when discussing Ocasio-Cortez and advised members of the so-called “Squad,” that “you’re not a one-person show. This is the Congress of the United States.”

Time will tell if Pelosi’s latest book makes a big splash in the publishing world, but given her loss of political prestige after losing control of Congress it probably wouldn’t be wise to bet the farm on it.

Or even a couple of shots of vodka.
