This awful secret about electric vehicles left Joe Biden trembling in fear

Democrats are going all-in on forcing electric vehicles on working class Americans.

But there’s a hidden danger they never wanted the public to know.

And this awful secret about electric vehicles left Joe Biden trembling in fear.

Electric vehicles are a national security threat

President Joe Biden has become the salesman-in-chief for Democrats’ electric vehicle mandates.

His regime has doled out massive taxpayer-funded subsidies to major, established automakers to produce EVs, while also handing out taxpayer-funded tax credits to make them a more enticing buy for consumers.

As far as Biden and his fellow Democrats are concerned, electric vehicles are a 100% environmentally-friendly way to cruise around in style.

They’ve become a centerpiece of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ Green New Deal to supposedly save the planet from climate change.

Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright told Fox News that electric vehicles are a complete disaster for the country and drivers.

They’re a danger to the environment, national security, and drivers.

He pointed out that thanks to environmental extremist Democrats who claim to want to “save the planet” by forcing Americans to buy EVs, all of the most crucial elements needed to build EVs, like lithium, cobalt, and nickel, are mined predominantly in third-world countries in which they utilize child and even slave labor, while also having zero regard for the environmental devastation they cause.

As Wright noted, the harsh reality is that Democrats’ refusal to allow any legitimate mining in the United States – there is currently only one nickel mine, one cobalt mine, and one lithium mine operational in the U.S. due to ruling class environmental extremists’ efforts – 70% of the world’s cobalt is mined in the Congo, a nation in which children are often forced to work as miners from the time they’re toddlers.

“That is a horrific thing, imagining these child miners pulling this stuff out of the ground to make our green cars go, but that is true,” Wright said. “Also, we know about the 19 cobalt mines in the Congo, 15 of them are controlled by the Chinese government or a Chinese entity.”

He explained that lithium mined in the arid Atacama Desert in Chile requires nearly 500,000 gallons of water to extract a single ton, while the dangerous methods of nickel mining utilized in third-world countries also produce similar damaging effects on the environment.

After these minerals are mined, they’re shipped off to Communist China where they’re used to manufacture lithium ion batteries for EVs, laptops, cell phones, and virtually every other electronic device in use today.

“But that’s just the beginning,” Wright said. “We haven’t even gotten into the car to start to drive.”

Electric vehicles pose a national security threat

The technology in electric vehicles opens them to a host of problems, according to Wright.

“So imagining we get into that car, we have a few different concerns,” Wright explained. “First, we’ve got a national security concern, that car is basically a computer on wheels. So as that thing drives, it’s going to both get things downloaded to it or you’re going to upload stuff to whatever your car manufacturer might be. That opens up a major vector to be hacked or otherwise controlled.”

Democrats demanding that automakers switch to EV production while forbidding the production of any of the materials needed to produce the vehicles components in the U.S. has given Communist China total control over the EV supply chain.

And as Wright proceeded to explain, their known, documented use of slave labor should be a major aspect of the conversation surrounding Democrats’ push for EVs.

“We need to be pointing out the hypocrisy of, gosh, we’re creating dirty green EVs using coal or cobalt from the Congo and child labor, but it’s also true that they’re using concentration camp labor,” Wright explained. “All of this has to be a part of the conversation for when people walk into that dealership. What am I really buying?”

Wright also noted that EVs are heavier than their gas-powered counterparts due to the weight of their lithium ion batteries, while also noting that such heavier weight will increase tire wear.

“Now we’re driving down the road, nobody’s hacked us yet, and we have a couple of other concerns to think about,” Wright said. “One, this [EV] car is very heavy. Much, much heavier than a traditional vehicle and that means that your tires are gonna wear down about 20% faster than a gas-powered vehicle. That’s going to cause more damage, obviously, for your pocketbook as you have to replace your tires.”

Democrats’ electric vehicle revolution will benefit Communist China and leave working class Americans holding the short end of the stick.
