This pet store chain is looking to hire one employee who will absolutely make your day

Pets are a very important part of many people’s lives.

These furry family members need lots of care including plenty of healthy food and toys to keep them active.

And now this pet store chain is looking to hire one employee who will absolutely make your day.

PetSmart to hire Chief Toy Tester

PetSmart is looking for the next dog and cat to fill the role of the coveted Chief Toy Tester position.

The company’s inaugural testers, Whiskey and Loki, are passing the squeaky toy to the next contenders after having a busy year of conducting product trials and giving feedback.

All pet owners are invited to submit an application for the role, which involves reviewing some of the latest products from PetSmart.

The toy testers will also contribute feedback for upcoming collections, and each Chief Toy Tester will earn up to $10,000.

James Elasky, SVP of merchandising and chief merchant at PetSmart, said, “We have such a fun and exciting lineup of toys, apparel, and treats rolling out this year and we cannot wait to share them with our new Chief Toy Tester and all pet parents.”

“Our wide assortment has something for every pet, play style, season, and price point to help pet parents create more moments of connection and joy together,” he added.

The Chief Toy Testers will receive boxes of the newest toys, treats, costumes, and apparel every quarter of their one-year commitment.

They will then share their official product reviews on social media to inform other pets and pet owners which of the new items are a must-have.

The Chief Toy Testers will also be official PetSmart models, and have their faces featured on signs and displays in PetSmart locations all over the country.

According to the job listing, the ideal cat and dog will be willing to test out new toys, which may require them to lunge, run, jump, or solve puzzles.

The animals must also have a nose for sniffing out the latest treats and have the perfect pose and strut to go down the catwalk to show off the company’s latest pet clothing products and accessories.

Their human counterparts must be able to commit to a one-year partnership contract on their pet’s behalf, and must create trending social media content.

Lots of perks for pets and owners

Those chosen will receive numerous other perks, like early access to toys, treats, and more, and their pet’s faces will be featured on signs or displays inside PetSmart stores.

Pet owners can apply for the position at PetSmartChiefToyTester.com by midnight on May 29.

The application also requires a 15-30 second video of their cat or dog, and a review of their pet’s favorite toy in 200 words or less.

According to PetSmart, the more creative you are and the more the pet’s personality shines through, the better the odds of getting the coveted position.
