While some people remember Charlie Sheen for his acting chops others remember him for his drug and alcohol-fueled antics.

But of course he wasn’t alone in suffering from substance abuse issues as others within his inner circle have also had plenty of struggles.

And now police are demanding answers from Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife over this major celebrity’s suspicious death.

Brooke Mueller part of Matthew Perry’s death investigation

Actor Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller were married for three years before their divorce in 2011.

Recently, a judge declared that while the couple currently shares joint custody of their twin sons, Sheen would be awarded full custody in the event Mueller fails a drug or alcohol test.

Meanwhile, a criminal probe into Friends actor Matthew Perry’s death may include some information from Mueller.

According to a report from InTouch Weekly, sources indicated that the 46-year-old Mueller has been questioned “multiple times” about Perry’s death.

Authorities have reportedly tried to contact Mueller at the sober living house where she currently lives, but she wasn’t home when officers arrived with a search warrant in hand last month.

One source told InTouch Weekly that Meuller was out “exercising” when police arrived, but she was “completely cooperative” when she returned to the sober living house.

The insider said, “She’s hired lawyers and has had multiple meetings with law enforcement since they arrived at her sober living house with a search warrant. She’s been tight-lipped about the situation.”

The source said it is “tough to say or know exactly” what role investigators may believe Mueller played in Perry’s death, adding that “she’s adamant she had nothing to do with that.”

Authorities have reportedly seized a laptop and an iPhone from Mueller, although their relationship to the death of Perry is undetermined.

The source said that Mueller met Perry “in rehab” where the two “formed an unexpected friendship.”

Officials from the Los Angeles Police Department have confirmed that they are still working on the criminal investigation into the 54-year-old actor’s tragic death.

A statement to Fox News from authorities said, “The department has an open and ongoing investigation into Matthew Perry’s death.”

Perry had high levels of ketamine in his system

Perry died on October 28, 2023, after an apparent drowning in a hot tub at his home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.

LA Police Captain Scot Williams said in an email that his department was working with the DEA and US Postal Inspection Service to determine why Perry had so much ketamine in his system, according to a report from The Associated Press published last month.

According to his autopsy, trace amounts of ketamine were detected in Perry’s stomach and the official cause of death is listed as due to the “acute effects of ketamine.”

However, the report also stated that “the exact method of intake in Mr. Perry’s case is unknown.”

Some other things that contributed to his death include “coronary artery disease” and “buprenorphine effects.”

There were also “prescription medications and loose pills” found at his home.

Perry’s last known treatment was over a week before his death, but the medical examiner stated that “the ketamine in his system at death could not be from that infusion therapy, since ketamine’s half-life is 3 to 4 hours or less.”
