Virginia Governor Youngkin had left-wing activists fuming after his direct attack in their culture war against children

The shot heard across the country in the battle against schools indoctrinating kids was fired in Virginia in 2021.

It was clear Virginians elected Glenn Youngkin as the conservative response to left-wing activism targeting their children.

Now Governor Youngkin is firing a warning shot against these left-wing activists, and it’s left them furious.

Governor Youngkin issuing new policies to schools referencing transgenderism in Virginia public school system

Virginia school board meetings were among the first to have parents labeled domestic terrorists.

It all started when parents started speaking up about policies that the school boards had in place.

Parents across America agreed that steps being taken to indoctrinate kids were unacceptable.

Now Virginia is doing their part to reverse the course of our public school system and return rights back to the parents.

Glenn Youngkin took his first step in addressing transgenderism in his school system by issuing new 2022 Model Policies on the Privacy, Dignity, and Respect for All Students and Parents in Virginia’s Public Schools.

The purpose of these policies is to reassure parents that the Virginia Department of Education “fully acknowledges the rights of parents to exercise their fundamental rights granted by the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution to direct the care, upbringing, and education of their children.”

Parents, not the schools, have the right to make decisions about “education and care”

This could be a huge win for Virginia parents and could be a roadmap to establishing a Parental Bill of Rights at the state level.

It certainly references the U.S. Constitutional right of the parent to direct the care of their children.

In the Governor’s issuance he references Virginia code 1-240.1 which has long affirmed that Constitutional right, stating that the parents’ “right to make decisions concerning . . . education and care” of the children.

This means that many of the schools in Virginia that have been revoking the rights of parents have already been in violation of that law.

Youngkin is simply reminding them of their place as educators.

The 2022 model suggests that schools “defer to parents to make the best decisions with respect to their children.”

It urges schools to refrain from determining what they believe to be “what is best for the kids.”

Specifically, it states that parents will determine “what names, nicknames, and/or pronouns, if any, shall be used for their child by teachers and school staff while their child is at school.”

Youngkin’s warning shot to educators seeking to undermine parental rights faces pushback from left-wing activists in schools

It further warns against “any counseling or social transition at school that encourages a gender that differs from their child’s sex” without parental consent.

All of this might seem like common sense, but this has been an ongoing issue in schools that hope to encourage a child to embrace and express a gender that is different from that they were born as.

Now reports are coming out that multiple schools are organizing walk outs in response to the new guidance from the Virginia Department of Education.

McLean High School posted on Twitter, “We are appalled by the Virginia Department of Education’s model transgender policies. Not only do these policies erase nonbinary students and revoke rights from trangender [sic] students, they also allow parents to remove their child from counseling without the child’s consent.”

Keep an eye on Virginia to see what’s coming next.
