This unlikely move by the FBI is turning heads and raising even more serious questions

The raid on Donald Trump’s home was unprecedented.

Many Americans were left wondering what would come next.

Now this unlikely move by the FBI is turning heads and raising even more serious questions.

An agent already under scrutiny

Whistleblowers are bringing renewed scrutiny to the FBI.

All of this brings into question FBI Director Christopher Wray’s handling of politically-charged investigations.

Timothy Thibault was a 25-year veteran of the FBI.

He most recently held the position of Washington Field Office Assistant Special Agent in Charge.

Now he’s becoming a household name representing FBI corruption at the highest levels.

His name first surfaced in reports related to the handling of the Hunter Biden laptop.

Senator Chuck Grassley has previously reported that his whistleblowers’ account accused Thibault of, “Falsely portraying as disinformation evidence acquired from multiple sources that provided the FBI derogatory information related to Hunter Biden’s financial and foreign business activities . . .”

This is in line with recent revelations suggesting the FBI deliberately suppressed the story.

But Special Agent Thibault didn’t stop there.

According to Grassley it’s alleged that Thibault also, “. . . ordered the matter closed without providing reason as required by FBI guidelines . . .” and “subsequently attempted to improperly mark the matter in FBI systems so it could not be opened in the future.”

According to reports, he made this move the same month the New York Post began its reports about the laptop and all its contents.

In the wake of whistleblower allegations, Former DNI John Ratcliffe stated, “The hope was that Chris Wray would move away from the politicization at the FBI . . . but the whistleblower complaint very clearly on his watch [says] these FBI agents were attempting to influence the outcome of the 2020 election by suppressing derogatory information about Hunter Biden and potentially Joe Biden.”

Now Americans are asking themselves, can the FBI ever restore its reputation?

Thibault, resigned or terminated?

It was initially reported that Thibault had resigned due to the Hunter Biden cover up.

However, some reports also indicated that he was “escorted from the field office.”

Now, Trump is filling in some of the details on Truth Social.

After news broke, Trump posted, “The ‘Special Agent’ just fired by the FBI is the same person who traveled with Bruce and Nellie Ohr to the Czech Republic in February, 2016, as part of their campaign to ‘Get Trump.’ At the time of the trip, Nellie Ohr was employed by Fusion GPS, which became well known for creating the anti-Trump propaganda for use by Crooked Hillary Clinton and the Democrat National Committee.”

He further railed against former Special Agent Thibault, “The fired agent was in charge of the Mar-a-Lago Raid, and the Election investigation. How’s he doing?”

If Thibault was directly involved in the Mar-a-Lago raid that would mean a lot.

But at the moment it’s difficult to confirm or disprove Trump’s assertion that he oversaw the raid.

And whether or not he was subsequently fired from the FBI for his involvement, for that matter.

At the very least, it is worth noting that a potentially corrupt agent is no longer with the FBI.

The question is, what will happen next?

Was his dismissal merely an attempt to whitewash the FBI’s public appearance to restore public confidence?

Or are more heads about to metaphorically roll?

Only time will tell.

Buckle up, America.
