This massive company has learned its lesson: get woke, go broke

For generations there was an unwritten rule, businesses – by and large – stay out of political fights, so as not to turn off half their potential customers.

But that changed once a new wave of ivy league CEO’s took charge and decided to put the woke agenda ahead of doing business.

But this giant cooperation seems to have now learned an important lesson: get woke, go broke.

In Netflix’s most recent quarterly report, the streaming giant lost subscribers for the first time in its existence.

As news broke, shares of Netflix plummeted.

The company blames a myriad of issues for the loss of viewers, including password sharing and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

What they didn’t want to admit is, their constant barrage of woke content, like Dear White People and Cuties, led common-sense Americans to cut the Netflix cord for good.

And while the company isn’t verbally admitting their devotion to the radical Left cost them eyeballs, their actions tell a different story.

Netflix has been going on a cutting spree of its own, canceling shows and projects, including nearly its entire animation department, in cost-cutting measures.

But there’s a certain trend in the type of content getting the Netflix ax.

According to Variety, some of the woke projects canceled include: Ava DuVernay’s Wings of Fire, With Kind Regards from Kindergarten, and Antiracist Baby – a preschool-oriented series based on the teachings of infamous Critical Race Theory proponent Ibram X. Kendi.

Variety is also reporting Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You, has been scrapped.

It would have been a combination documentary and scripted feature about race relations in America.

According to The New York Times, since their quarterly report, Netflix has laid off 150 staffers – that’s about 2% of Netflix’s entire workforce.

The New York Times’ Bari Weiss wrote the terminations went in one direction.

“The layoffs happen to include, just by chance, some of the most Twitter-active social justice workers in the place,” Weiss wrote.

Following their rushed selloff of Netflix stock, and the attack on Netflix star Dave Chapelle, executives sent out a company-wide email to Netflix employees suggesting that if they can’t work on projects they disagree with politically, then they need to find a new place to work.

Several unnamed sources say the memo was deliberately dispersed ahead of comedian Ricky Gervais’ stand up special.

In his special, Gervais dares to make jokes about such touchy topics as transgenders and cancel culture.

The apparent change in policy at Netflix is incredibly similar to what recently transpired at Disney.

Disney executives, including CEO Bob Chapek, joined in with other radical Social Justice Snowflakes in mislabeling Florida’s new Parental Rights in Education bill as the “Don’t Say Gay bill.”

Around the same time, a video was released showing other top executives at Disney saying they are injecting a “queer agenda” into Disney programing.

Americans chimed in with their feelings on this Disney vs. DeSantis fight with their wallets.

People canceled Disney+ in droves, canceled Disneyland and Disney World trips and more – costing Disney millions of dollars.

And Gov. DeSantis and the Republican-led Florida legislature passed and signed a bill stripping Disney of its self-governing status in the state.

Interestingly, when the next big culture war issue came up, the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion suggesting Roe v. Wade may be overturned – Disney remained silent on the issue.

Perhaps these Big Media and Big Tech standard-bearers are finally learning the lesson: get woke, go broke.
