Unless you want to sit through an hour of woke indoctrination it’s becoming difficult to find anything to watch on television these days.
And HBO is turning into one of the worst offenders.
Now one HBO actress is warning fans to stop watching her new hit show if they don’t find extreme Left-wing propaganda and lectures entertaining.
The Last of Us
HBO is now streaming its latest original offering, The Last of Us, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey – both of whom had semi-recurring roles on HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones.
The new show is based on a best-selling PlayStation video game of the same name.
Warning: there are some plot spoilers ahead based on the video game.
The setting of The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic world in which a fungus has destroyed the world and turned people into zombie-like monsters.
However, Ramsey’s character, Ellie, is immune to the disease.
Pascal’s character, Joel, is tasked with keeping Ellie safe and getting her to a treatment center, where perhaps her blood can be used to create a vaccine.
Of course, it’s obviously the perfect story to preach woke propaganda and push the radical Left’s agenda, and that’s the exact direction the show’s producers, Greg Spence and Cecil O’Connor, decided to take the series.
The Woke of Us
Early on in the show, a transgender protagonist is introduced to the audience as a featured character.
And by episode four, as YouTuber Synthetic Man described it, the show suddenly turned into Brokeback Mountain.
“We got 15-minutes of two middle-aged gay dudes falling in love and there’s an extended kissing scene,” Synthetic Man said in his review. “And they even get married. It is just the weirdest, bizarre, out of left field shit that is completely irrelevant to the overall plot.”
To be fair, the character, Bill – played by Parks and Recreation alum Nick Offerman – who is one of the two men in the soft-core gay porn episode of Last of Us, is gay in the video game.
However, his sexual orientation never plays a factor in the game’s storyline – which the show has made a big deal about following as closely as possible – but the showrunners decided to make an entire episode out of it for the series, nonetheless.
The Intolerant of Us
And for viewers who weren’t pleased with the episode, Ramsey warned them to simply stop watching because there’s a lot more where that came from.
“I know people will think what they want to think – but they’re gonna have to get used to it,” Ramsey told GQ. “If you don’t want to watch the show because it has gay storylines, because it has a trans character, that’s on you, and you’re missing out.”
Ramsey added that she likes that the series comes from “a place of defiance.”
In the sequel to the video game, Last of Us II, gamers learn the main character, Ellie, is bisexual.
With that in mind, there’s no telling how much more woke left-wing propaganda viewers of the HBO series are in store for moving forward.
