The ruling class up in Washington, D.C. has long sought to keep Americans in their “place.”
They have gone to great lengths to take control away from the American people.
And this bombshell report revealed the despicable way the Biden regime is stacking the deck against law-abiding Americans.
As if it never existed
Democrats and their allies in the corporate-controlled media have obviously spent decades attempting to end the Second Amendment and strip law-abiding citizens of their ability to defend themselves, their families, and their property.
In fact, just last year, the Biden regime, every Democrat, and even some establishment RINOS joined together to pass the most sweeping gun control legislation in a generation.
But that’s apparently not good enough for those who long for the days when Americans are left completely defenseless, and violent criminals run free the same way they already run “gun free zones” and Democrat-controlled cities across the nation.
As a result, the Biden regime has reportedly gone to great lengths to stack the deck against law-abiding Americans in favor of gun control activists.
According to a report from The Reload, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) worked directly with left-wing gun control activists to bury a “good guy with a gun” study that showed law-abiding gun owners use firearms to protect themselves some 2.5 million times every year.
The Reload revealed that through a series of meetings setup by the White House and powerful elitist Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), left-wing gun control activists convinced the CDC to bury the study because they said it made passing gun control laws more difficult.
“[T]hat 2.5 Million number needs to be killed, buried, dug up, killed again and buried again,” the Gun Violence Archive’s Mark Bryant wrote to CDC officials after one of their meetings. “It is highly misleading, is used out of context and I honestly believe it has zero value – even as an outlier point in honest DGU discussions.”
It was the truth, so it had to go
The study left-wing gun control activists took issue with was conducted by Florida State University Criminology Professor Gary Kleck, and was one of many defensive gun use studies the CDC reviewed , according to e-mails obtained by The Reload.
But those same emails also reveal that the issues gun control activists had with the Florida State study revolved around their baseless and false claims it was based on “misinformation,” and the fact that it was being used by pro-Second Amendment activists as ammunition against gun control.
“The CDC initially stood by the study and listed it in the “Fast Facts: Firearm Violence Prevention” portion of its website,” The Daily Wire reported, “But after a September 15, 2021, virtual meeting with gun control advocates, the agency assured them it would revise the section in 2022, according to a December 10, 2021, email obtained by The Reload.”
“We are planning to update the fact sheet in early 2022 after the release of some new data,” the CDC’s Beth Reimels wrote in said email. “We will also make some edits to the content we discussed that I think will address the concerns you and other partners have raised.”
As The Daily Wire pointed out, in 2022, the CDC went on to scrub all references to defensive gun use from its site after their meetings with gun control activists at the behest of the Biden regime and Senator Durbin.
“Estimates of defensive gun use vary depending on the questions asked, populations studied, timeframe, and other factors related to study design,” the site now states. “Given the wide variability in estimates, additional research is necessary to understand defensive gun use prevalence, frequency, circumstances, and outcomes.”
The Biden regime and Democrats remain hell-bent on shredding the Second Amendment and confiscating every law-abiding Americans’ firearms.
But going to the lengths of burying factual information and independent studies because they don’t fit the left-wing narrative is beyond the pale.
And if House Republicans want to begin restoring the credibility and trust they’ve lost, they’ll launch investigations into this government censorship of truth and science.
