Although Democrats rail against the “evils” of fossil fuels and demand working class Americans make all sorts of sacrifices to end their use they don’t exactly practice what they preach.
To make matters worse, the Biden regime wastes a stomach churning amount of taxpayer dollars on wasteful fossil fuel consuming travel.
And the walls are closing in on Pete Buttigieg after one detail about his taxpayer-funded lifestyle was just exposed.
Democrats refuse to practice what they preach
For years now, Democrats have screamed bloody murder about the environment, claiming that fossil fuels are destroying the world.
Despite their demands for change, Democrats and their ruling class elite allies shamelessly waste fossil fuels with their multi-million dollar private jets and yachts.
The Biden regime is no different, and one of the worst offenders is none other than Biden Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg
In response to Buttigieg’s wasteful use of private jets at taxpayer expense, Senate Republicans have proposed a bill that would limit this waste.
“Secretary Buttigieg seems averse to traveling on the very commercial airlines that his department oversees,” Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) told Fox News.
“It’s far past time that Secretary Buttigieg travel commercially instead of wasting taxpayer dollars on private jet flights,” he added.
The bill Senator Schmitt is referring to also ends a loophole that effectively misleads taxpayers regarding the costs of transportation.
“It will also fix a loophole to bring more transparency in reporting the costs of these flights,” Schmitt said.
Late last year, reports surfaced that accused Secretary Buttigieg of spending millions of taxpayer dollars on costly private jets at least 18 times since taking office.
President Biden’s Transportation Secretary has not yet commented on his habit of blowing millions of taxpayer dollars on private jets and the hypocrisy it clearly displays.
A number of the biggest radical left-wing environmental groups and climate extremists have remained silent on Buttigieg’s hypocrisy, as well.
In response to a letter from Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) requesting more insight on the Transportation Department’s abuse of taxpayer dollars, Secretary Buttigieg remarked that he was “glad this will be reviewed independently so misleading narratives can be put to rest.”
“Bottom line: I mostly fly on commercial flights, in economy class,” he claimed. “And when I do use our agency’s aircraft, it’s usually a situation where doing so saves taxpayer money.”
Democrats’ “climate crisis” only exists for the working class
For the overwhelming majority of Americans, the Biden regime’s hypocrisy is clear, and proves they are far more concerned with living lavishly on taxpayer’s dime than actually improving the lives of the working class.
Many Americans also claim that the regime’s wasteful use of jet fuel and other fossil fuels sets a poor example for the world, especially given Democrat’s alleged support for climate causes.
As far as Secretary Buttigieg is concerned, this is just the first of many scandals he has faced since taking office.
Whether it is the nightmare that is the airline industry, toxic train derailments, or supply chain meltdowns, Pete Buttigieg is having a very rough start to his term.
