When you hear the term “grassroots politics” most think of a movement that is supported by the working class.
What does NOT come to mind is a fancy party with big wig politicians sipping drinks at a pricey venue.
And yet the site of Kamala Harris’ upcoming “grassroot reception” will leave you shaking your head in disbelief.
Martha’s Vineyard, famously known as the playground of the rich and famous, is an island off the coast of Massachusetts that has become a frequent vacation destination from celebrities of all kinds, due to its isolation, beauty, and resort-like experience.
It’s an extremely expensive location for any event – since it’s an island, it can only be accessed by boat or air, so everything from food to electricity costs more.
In fact, recent years have seen even generational residents leaving because the cost of living there is simply too high.
But not too high for the Vice President, apparently, who announced that the historic location will glamorously host a “grassroots reception” for the re-election campaign of current President Joe Biden.
According to The Vineyard Gazette, the event will be hosted by the Biden Victory Fund, along with a slew of big-name Democrats, including a former member of former President Barack Obama’s regime, a high-ranking bank official, a well-known political consultant, and Hollywood actor, Wendell Pierce.
Ticket prices for the event range from $50 to $10,000.
Experts have noted that this isn’t the first time the Vice President has visited the island, having attended another campaign-related event there in the past, along with personal visits to her sister, who owns a home there (as do the Obamas).
While Harris’ high-dollar taste is unsurprising, her choice of branding the event as a “grassroots reception” raises some eyebrows.
Holding a Gatsby-esque party but claiming it’s a bootstrapping fundraiser for the working class, as the name suggests, is exactly the kind of gaslighting many have come to expect from Democrats.
Furthermore, acting like the most expensive, picturesque location – which most couldn’t even dream of being able to afford – is an accessible location for regular Joe’s (NOT the President) is a laughable position.
Fox News asked the Biden regime for a comment on this matter but, predictably, they had nothing to say.
The Vice President’s choice of venue will undoubtedly cause some working head-shaking, but perhaps it’s actually a good sign for the American people.
Some folks are wondering if the branding of the event as a “grassroots reception” indicates a fear surrounding the amount of support (especially from ordinary citizens) for Biden’s re-election campaign.
While Biden’s team tries to drum-up working class support in all the wrong places, former President Donald Trump’s re-election bid is loyally supported by millions of working class Americans.
And one can only hope the fancy party is a sign that Joe Biden’s time is coming to a close.
