America is filled with priceless relics.

But no one ever thought this relic would go for so much money.

And the price tag Elvis Presley’s Smith & Wesson just fetched at auction will absolutely blow your mind.

A rich history of relics

When you think about it, America is relatively young.

Nations like China, and even places like England, can trace their foundation back thousands of years.

And through those years, they have developed a culture and ultimately symbols and relics that their society cherishes.

The United States, on the other hand, has been around for only around 250 years.

But in those short 250 years, the United States has developed an endless amount of accomplishments and societal figures that no other nation can match.

And because of our nation’s success, we have relics that are cherished, like the Declaration of Independence and Ben Franklin’s spectacles.

It’s not rare to see relics of our culture go for massive amounts of money.

But of all the relics our nation has, no one would have thought this one would be so valuable.

Presley’s revolver

No one in our nation has ever thought that Elvis Presley’s revolver would have been worth so much.

A year before his death, Presley was given a one of a kind revolver.

The Smith & Wesson revolver had many unique qualities, including gold and silver inlays of the Betsy Ross flag, the Liberty Bell, and 1776-1976 on the barrel of the revolver.

Even the front sight was made of 18 carat gold.

Now, this prized possession of Presley’s went for auction, and sold for an eye-popping $199,750.

When you think about it, it’s really not that hard to imagine that someone would be willing to spend so much money for an Elvis relic.

The man was one of a kind, and brought forward an industry of entertainment that no one in this world ever saw.

He was a movement and a once-in-a-generation figure.

And this relic has the best of both worlds.

Not only is it a unique item Presley owned, but it is also a symbol of America and the Second Amendment.

You will be hard pressed to find another revolver like this one, let alone one owned by Elvis Presley.
