Democrats know that unless some sort of catastrophic event occurs, they’re likely headed toward major losses in the 2022 Midterms.
So they’ve apparently decided to manufacture that catastrophic event themselves.
But The New York Times just exposed Democrats’ biggest dirty trick of the 2022 Midterms.
Democrats are in desperation mode
According to the latest Reuters/Ipsos survey, over 70% of Americans believe the United States is on the “wrong track,” while just 22% believe the nation is headed in the “right direction.”
Quite frankly, the most shocking aspect of that poll is the idea that 22% of Americans believe the nation is headed in the “right direction” when the Democrats’ radical socialist agenda is clearly sending America head-on into a recession.
Nevertheless, considering Rasmussen Reports’ latest 2022 Generic Congressional Voting survey also found that Republicans have a massive, 9-point advantage (48-39) over Democrats in the 2022 Midterms, Americans, by and large, appear ready for a major change.
But as every American knows full well, Democrats aren’t going to simply go quietly into the night.
In fact, Democrats are now more desperate than ever to maintain their stranglehold on power in Washington, D.C.
Which is exactly why they have cooked up a scheme to keep their majorities in the House and Senate that is so brazen and sinister it makes the Hillary Clinton campaign’s fake “Russian collusion” hoax look like child’s play.
The Left’s plan to trick Americans into letting Democrats retain power
With inflation at 40-year highs, gas prices at all-time highs, food shortages, and the aforementioned looming recession, Democrats don’t have many pieces of legislation up their sleeve that could make all of the problems their radical agenda has caused go away.
The only real hope they have for convincing the American people to let them hang onto power for at least another two years is to manufacture some sort of controversy that turns public opinion against Republicans.
And everyone knows there’s no Republican that Democrats love targeting more than former President Donald Trump.
To that end, the Left is now planning to use the January 6 Commission’s month-long slate of hearings as political commercials for Democrats.
At least, that’s according to the so-called “paper of record.”
According to The New York Times, House Democrats are planning to use the hearings to “refocus voters’ attention on Jan. 6 for the sole purpose of connecting Republicans directly to an unprecedented plot to undermine democracy itself.”
The Times went on to report that Democrats were counting on “made-for-television moments” and a “choreographed rollout” of the so-called “nonpartisan” panels’ claims to persuade voters to “hold Republicans accountable” in November.
“With their control of Congress hanging in the balance, Democrats plan to use made-for-television moments and a carefully choreographed rollout of revelations over the course of six hearings to remind the public of the magnitude of Mr. Trump’s effort to overturn the election, and to persuade voters that the coming midterm elections are a chance to hold Republicans accountable for it,” The New York Times reported.
The report went on to detail how Democrats “have met with networks about carrying the hearing live in prime time,” and have scheduled 90 “watch parties” for the hearings nationwide, including a Washington, D.C. “watch party” that is offering attendees “free ice cream.”
Ultimately, The New York Times reports, Democrats’ goal with the hearings is “to deliver the equivalent of the Watergate hearings for the streaming era.”
Further proof it’s all just left-wing political theater
The report from The New York Times comes on the heels of an Axios report, which revealed that House Democrats hired former ABC News president James Goldstein to “produce” the hearings.
Goldstein, who previously led ABC News when the network buried the Jeffery Epstein story, was described by Axios as a “master documentary storyteller.”
And the outlet reported that he planned to make coverage of the hearings “raw enough so that skeptical journalists will find the material fresh,” while also drawing “the eyeballs of Americans who haven’t followed the ins and outs of the Capitol riot probe.”
Put simply, Goldstein is nothing more than the pointman for Democrats’ plan to turn the January 6 Commission hearings into hours-long infomercials designed to boost Democrats’ prospects in the 2022 Midterms.
It’s all just left-wing political theater.
Democrats are attempting to play puppetmaster, pulling all the strings behind the scenes to control how the American people act in November.
Without any other options, all that’s left for Democrats is to simply manufacture controversy, which they have plenty of practice with.
The only question is whether the American people will buy it or not.
