Donald Trump was under attack from the moment that he started his trip down that golden escalator.
The media and the Democrat Party came out slandering him as a racist, misogynist, and a xenophobe.
Now thanks to John Durham we’re starting to see how bad it really was, and the Deep State within the FBI is starting to get very nervous.
FBI used debunked dossier to obtain warrants to spy on Trump and his officials
When Donald Trump ran for President in 2016, there was a clear effort to push him out as quickly as possible.
He was attacked from all angles, and it was difficult for most Americans to keep up with the endless allegations.
One of the most “credible” at the time was the Steele Dossier.
The report was penned by a former intelligence officer working with the British Secret Intelligence Service.
The dossier was used as a pretext for the FBI to obtain FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and eventually his Presidential administration.
It made many ludicrous allegations including a “pee tape,” ultimately pointing to a blackmail scheme that Putin had in place to control Trump.
It eventually led to years of investigation that put a dark cloud over President Trump and effectively kneecapped his administration.
Now, thanks to the work of Special Counsel John Durham, the truth is finally starting to drip out slowly.
Danchenko trial underway shows desperate FBI attempted to pay author of dossier
Durham has been working on the prosecution of Igor Danchenko, who was a primary source in Steele’s dossier.
Danchenko is said to have lied to the FBI when he was being questioned about the validity of the information provided by Steele.
According to Durham’s probe, the FBI used the dossier to support the request to surveil Trump officials even though they couldn’t independently verify any of the claims.
Brian Auten is a supervisory analyst with the FBI who was directly involved in the scandal and recently offered to provide support to Durham and testified during the Danchenko trial.
Auten claimed that the FBI had attempted to corroborate the allegations through other intelligence agencies, but none could do so.
He says that the Bureau then arranged a meeting in the UK with Steele.
They offered him $1 million in cash to provide evidence supporting his claim that Trump was under Putin’s control.
Steele couldn’t provide the evidence.
Durham is working to protect the “function and integrity of our government”
This offer by the FBI is a startling development in the Durham investigation and adds to the countless ethical problems at the agency in recent years.
If the Special Counsel can provide a timeline for these interactions, it might show that the FBI made the offer knowing Steele would have to fabricate the evidence.
Prosecutors in the case are looking to paint a picture that shows that the FBI was working with the Hillary Clinton campaign to stop Trump from winning the 2016 election.
They know that the FBI relied on this dossier for surveillance of Trump’s foreign policy advisor, Carter Page, prior to the election and during Trump’s time in the White House.
Durham has been mostly quiet throughout the course of his investigation.
But he wants Americans to know, “this case is about protecting the function and integrity of our government institutions.”
