The Black Lives Matter movement was an entirely media-driven movement.
In it’s wake of riots, rapes, and murder, BLM led to the “Defund the Police,” movement.
And now, as Democrats try to distance themselves from the once-popular catch phrase, the movement is coming back to haunt President Joe Biden.
Biden’s crime problem
President Joe Biden has created crisis after crisis in his short-time in the White House.
Bidenflation, record-high gas prices, an invasion at the southern border, fentanyl overdoses, the list goes on-and-on.
However, one of the most damning of all the Biden crisis is the skyrocketing crime rates from coast-to-coast.
Denver, for example, is just one of many U.S. cities on track for record-breaking numbers of murders this year.
And it’s not just murder.
At least six major cities are on pace to break long-held records on violent crime for a second year in a row.
Crime is consistently one of the top ranked issues in every political survey.
And Democrats who were pushing criminal-friendly policies and championing the “Defund the Police” movement back in the deadly “Summer of Love” in 2020 are now fighting back against their well-earned reputation as being pro-crime.
Democrats branded as pro-crime
Democrats are worried their weak footing on crime will cost them in the 2022 Midterm elections in just a couple weeks.
In fact, on Fox News, we saw Democrats like Congressman Jerry Nadler of New York, literally running and hiding from a reporter who is asking them about surging crime rates.
“We just want to talk about the crisis that is impacting our country with crime across the nation,” reporter Gianno Caldwell said as Nadler tried to avoid being on camera while waiting for the elevator.
“I can’t do it now,” Nadler claimed.
“Congressman Nadler, can we set up a meeting with your office and have a discussion?” Caldwell asked.
“Uh,” Nadler responded. “Maybe. I’m going to be pretty busy.”
Q: "Senator, any reaction to the crime crisis in America? Crime is up. There’s a crisis. "

Caldwell has a similar run-in with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer – who when asked about rising crime simply said, “thank you.”
Consensus on who to blame
And a new poll – out of Harvard, of all places – shows President Biden, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer have every reason to worry.

Nearly two-thirds of Americans, 64%, blame woke politicians for the rising crime rates in the United States.
Only 36% of respondents blamed it on anything other than far-left Democrats.
Interestingly, even a majority of Democrats, 52%, say woke politicians are the cause of the nation’s crime problems.
Perhaps just as surprisingly, only 75% of Republican respondents said woke politicians are to blame.
60% of independents point the finger at woke politicians as well.
The Harvard-Harris poll also found that the military and police are the most trusted of all U.S. institutions.
According to the Daily Caller, crime statistics show Democrat-run cities have recorded larger increases in homicide rates over the past two years than cities run by Republicans.
We will find out on November 8 if Democrats will pay for being pro-crime in the Midterm elections.
