Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic many people were pushed to their limits on government overreach and control.
When the vaccine came out most people were expecting life to go back to normal – but the Biden administration continued to encroach on personal liberties.
Now the Centers for Disease Control made one move that is angering parents and protecting Big Pharma.
CDC committee adds COVID-19 vaccine to recommended schedule for children
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) is a group of CDC advisers who oversee and develop recommendations for the use of vaccines amongst the civilian population in the United States.
The committee oversees scheduling of both adult and childhood immunization from a federal level then passes their recommendations onto the states.
The ACIP recently made headlines when they voted unanimously on October 20 to add COVID-19 vaccines to recommended immunization schedules for children.
A member of the committee, Dr. Matthew Daley gave his comment, “We view this as COVID is here to stay. When I think about the routine immunization schedule – ask a pediatrician – I think of it as an opportunity to prevent serious disease and death,” adding that he thinks “benefits continue to strongly outweigh the risks.”
Kari Lake promises Arizona will not force vaccines or masks on children
There has been a lot of controversy around the subject especially when it comes to kids.
Many Democrats have taken the approach of keeping kids out of schools if they don’t have the vaccine.
Conservatives on the other hand have been fighting for the parents’ right to direct their children’s health choices.
Some have even taken to admonishing the CDC’s position and promised constituents to fight hard on this issue.
Arizona’s Republican candidate for Governor, Kari Lake, promised on Twitter that “Arizona will NOT be forcing COVID shots into our children’s arms or filthy masks onto their beautiful faces. Thx but no thx, @CDCgov.”

Likewise, Ron DeSantis said at a press conference he understands that parents are concerned “that schools could potentially mandate your child to get a COVID shot even if that’s something you don’t want to do” but promised as long as he’s “around kicking and screaming there will be no COVID shot mandates for your kids.”
Head of vaccine information group isn’t surprised and says officials have “politicized” the vaccine
Not everyone was caught off guard by the CDC’s move and many have called out the obvious fact that if there is a drug on that schedule then it provides the companies more protection from litigation.
Barbara Fisher is President and co-founder of the National Vaccine Information Center.
She says, “The past three years has [sic] taught us that federal health officials have politicized the COVID vaccine development, licensing, and policymaking process and rubber-stamped the questionable science provided by pharmaceutical companies.”
In her opinion, “we should not be surprised that the ACIP has voted to add it to the CDC’s recommended childhood vaccine schedule, even though it has not been fully licensed by FDA for use in children.”
Now she’s encouraging parents “let their state legislators know they want vaccine informed consent protections in public health laws and are opposed being forced to give their children the COVID vaccine as a condition of attending school, receiving medical care or for any other reason.”
An attorney for ICAN, Informed Consent Action Network, has also announced that they “will fund legal challenges against any state that mandates a c19 vaccine to attend school.”
