Every American no matter where they may live or come from deserves to be safe in their own neighborhood.
But Democrat-controlled cities are seeing massive crime waves that are spreading throughout the country, affecting Americans from all walks of life.
Now the bone-chilling crime that forced this family to flee their entire Democrat-controlled city will keep you up at night.
Like a scene from a movie
A Jackson, Mississippi, family is reeling after armed carjackers opened fire on them in broad daylight as they parked their car in their own driveway.
The thugs tried to take off in the victims’ vehicle while there were still young children inside.
The entire incident was captured in video footage recorded by a doorbell camera and was obtained by local news station WAPT.
In the video, two men can be seen walking up to the family’s home while at least one gun is being pointed at the woman, Heather Allen, and her adult son as they stand next to a black car parked in their driveway.
A gunshot is heard as the two adults duck and hide behind the car as the men approach them while brandishing a firearm.
The doorbell camera footage captured the audio of at least one of the gunshots, and the incident looks like a scene out of Grand Theft Auto rather than of an average suburban neighborhood in America.
One of the assailants opened the driver’s door and grabbed Allen’s daughter out of the vehicle, then got behind the wheel.
The suspect then pointed a gun in the face of Allen’s other son, who was also in the car.
Allen told the local news station, “He jumps in the driver’s seat, I’m standing on the outside looking in, and he points a gun at my oldest boy’s face.”
Fortunately, her son managed to get out of the car, but Allen’s two young grandchildren (her daughter’s children) were still inside.
During the emotional interview, Allen said, “My daughter was like, ‘My babies, my babies are in the car!’”
Once she realized what was happening, Allen decided to grab the children out of the vehicle as the two criminals yelled for the keys repeatedly.
The grandmother then threw her keys at the criminals to try and get them to leave, and they took off in her car that was parked on the front lawn.
Victims won’t be staying in Jackson
According to Jackson police, Allen’s car was recovered mostly undamaged just two short blocks away approximately 40 minutes after the incident took place.
The vehicle is currently in police possession while they process it for evidence.
Allen says the incident was extremely traumatizing for the entire family.
She told WAPT, “I’m not sleeping. My oldest son, his anxiety is through the roof – he’s even scared. My daughter, she has shock, but they’re safe.”
The grandmother has only lived in the Jackson area for about three months, but says she already wants to leave.
“We can’t stay here anymore,” she said.
Meanwhile, no arrests were made at the time of publishing.
