Ted Cruz called out one celebrity for lying and trying to redefine abortions as a publicity stunt

When Roe v. Wade was overturned many conservatives celebrated, as if this meant victory nationwide.

The radical Left realized quickly that they lost the battle, but the true war was only just beginning.

And Ted Cruz called out one celebrity for lying and trying to redefine abortions as a publicity stunt.

Radical leftists are trying to redefine miscarriages to terrify women into supporting abortions

When Roe v. Wade was overturned, the Internet lit afire with outrage from the pro-abortion activists.

Democrat politicians were attempting to make the claim that expectant mothers across America would be expected to die if their lives were put at stake by the pregnancy.

This revived the insane argument that removing a child after miscarriage was also an abortion.

To spread fear, they claim women would be penalized if they miscarried, under abortion legislation that has been passed in certain states.

Celebrity model and influencer claims she had a “life-saving abortion” and not a miscarriage

Chrissy Teigan, an American model and influencer, waded into the discussion at an event in L.A. declaring that she had a “life-saving abortion” when in fact she lost her third child due to a placental abruption at 20 weeks.

This occurred in September 2020.

Teigan was aware that her son Jack would not likely survive in or outside of the womb.

She was also made aware of the danger that the condition presented to her life.

Now in 2022, after the overturning of Roe, she has suddenly decided that what she did was an abortion.

Teigan is now claiming that she “told the world we had a miscarriage, the world agreed we had a miscarriage, all the headlines said it was a miscarriage . . . let’s just call it what it was: it was an abortion. An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance.”

Senator Ted Cruz slams Teigan for mischaracterizing her situation to benefit in a post-Roe America

Now Ted Cruz is calling out Teigan for her revision, while also showing compassion for the health of expectant mothers.

Recently on his podcast Verdict with Ted Cruz, he corrected her use of the word “abortion.”

“She may want to characterize it as abortion in this political context, but she described it at the time as a miscarriage and it certainly sounds like that was an accurate description,” further reminding his audience, “If there’s a medical procedure in that context, it’s not an abortion.”

Cruz went on to explain, “They had to induce her labor, he wasn’t yet viable. She miscarried, she publicly posted the pictures, they were heartbreaking pictures.”

Just because Chrissy Teigan wants to be politically relevant at this time for attention doesn’t mean she can redefine abortion in the public square.

Expectant moms should know that it’s the law in 50 states “to preserve the mother’s life”

Cruz continued, “There is nobody, even the most robust pro-life advocates, nobody argues that when the mother’s life is in danger that you can’t take extraordinary medical steps to preserve the mother’s life.”

He then assured expectant moms across the country that, “It is the law in all 50 states . . . that doctors can intervene to save the life of the mother even if that means tragically losing the child,” and he fully believes “it should be the law in all 50 states.”

Americans on both sides of the aisle agree with this sentiment.

That’s why the Left is trying to redefine these circumstances.

They want abortion to be all or nothing.
