Currently all eyes are on Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis especially those residing in the White House.

His popularity continues to rise as he further implements the Freedom First agenda.

And Ron DeSantis is now making moves that have Joe Biden nervously biting off all of his fingernails.

The field begins to crowd

Yesterday, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley officially announced that she will be running for President in 2024.

She joins former President Donald Trump, who entered the race just one week after the disappointing 2022 Midterm elections, as the only candidates to officially announce thus far.

Many other big-name Republicans are rumored to be considering a run for the White House.

The list of candidates includes the likes of Senators like Ted Cruz (R-TX), Tim Scott (R-SC), and Tim Cotton (R-AR), Governors like Texas’ Greg Abbott, South Dakota’ Kristi Noam, and New Hampshire’s Chris Sununu, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, former Vice President Mike Pence, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and even disgraced former Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY).

However, whether it’s any of the Republican candidates – or even President Joe Biden – they’re all keeping a close eye on the activities of one-man: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Ron to the rescue?

And Governor DeSantis is now starting to behave like someone who is about to embark on a Presidential campaign.

Bloomberg News is reporting DeSantis is now interviewing “national consultants.”

Despite liking his own team that’s led him to great success in the Sunshine State, a political consultant with national experience would be a key acquisition for the Governor, should he be looking to expand his appeal and name recognition by state lines.

According to Bloomberg News, the DeSantis team is also “vetting operatives in early states such as Iowa, New Hampshire.”

The Iowa Caucus is the first contest in the GOP Presidential Primaries, while New Hampshire follows quickly behind as the First in the Nation primary.

The Bloomberg report goes on to add that DeSantis’ vetting of operatives is also taking place in early Primary states, like Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

The report also noted that Governor DeSantis will host a gathering of 150 top Republican donors, politicians, and Party officials for a Palm Beach retreat at the end of the month.

The early – and largely hypothetical – polling of the GOP Primary seems to indicate 2024 could become a two-man race between Trump and DeSantis.

A two-man race?

While the 45th President of the United States currently leads the Florida Governor in most early polling, DeSantis has been steadily narrowing Trump’s advantage with each new poll.

Governor DeSantis is also the only Republican coming anywhere close to Trump’s level of support, as no other potential candidate has yet to even reach double-digits in the polls.

And of all those Presidential hopefuls who would rather DeSantis not run due to the threat he poses, President Biden may want to see the Governor make a run most of all.

Several polls have shown Governor DeSantis beating Biden in both national and battleground state polls in a hypothetical, head-to-head General Election matchup.

The most recent comes from the Silver State, where a new Nevada Independent poll conducted by OH Predictive Insights has Governor DeSantis beating President Biden by 6-points in Nevada.

The same poll has Trump also upending Biden in a hypothetical rematch of 2020, although, the former President’s lead was just 2 points, well within the margin of error.
