We have all seen the story of the prisoner who does a boneheaded move that no one can believe.
Well of all the stories you’ve heard about criminal idiocy this is by far one of the worst yet.
And police were in shock after they discovered two escaped convicts doing the unthinkable.
Prisons aren’t filled with the best and brightest
It’s no secret that America’s prisons aren’t filled with the best and the brightest.
That’s why you often hear about questionable decisions from those locked up.
Ask any police officer or detective and they can tell you about the criminal who spilled the beans on everything they did on a phone call that was recorded from the prison.
It’s more common than you would think, even with a pre-recorded message warning inmates that they are being monitored and recorded at the very beginning of every call.
Or ask any criminal defense attorney and they’ll tell you about a client who simply had to keep their mouth shut in court and they would have gotten off, but instead, chose to mouth off to the judge and are now pulling hard time.
You’ve probably even heard of some crazy prison escape stories that are filled with acts of stupidity.
Who can forget the story of Australian prisoner Stephen Jamieson?
Stephen tried to escape a prison in Australia by dressing up in a kangaroo costume.
But he was later discovered trying to hop away by guards who were planning to shoot the animal.
But of all the embellishments of prisoners’ idiocy, this one has to take the top prize.
All because of the pancakes
Two inmates in Newport News, Virginia have apparently been working really hard on their efforts to escape from prison.
The two inmates, John Garza and Arley Nemo, were able to tunnel through the wall of the prison with only a set of toothbrushes.
And in a shock to many, the two were able to escape the prison with all of their hard work and dedication.
But this is where the idiocy really kicks in.
Rather than running into the city to hide after just escaping prison, the inmates decided to do something else no one could have imagined.
Graza and Nemo decided to grab a double stack of pancakes at the local Ihop just a few miles down the road from the prison.
According to reports, the two were starving after their daring escape, and Graza and Nemo decided to grab a double stack of pancakes at the local Ihop just a few miles down the road from the prison.
And at 4:20AM, nearly ten hours after their escape, the two were captured while they were eating their delicious pancakes.

You have to admire their effort, but not their idiocy.
First, why wouldn’t you just try to hide it out for a day or so before going out in public?
Second, who the heck chooses Ihop over Waffle House?
We all know that Waffle House has better food and would have been a better place to assimilate.
