Parents will be outraged when they learn the FBI was using these terrorism tools against them

You would think that the FBI and other “law enforcement” entities would be concerned about frenzied left-wing activists breaking federal law and intimidating Supreme Court Justices outside their homes, but no.

The FBI has had its sights fixed on another target, American parents.

And once you learn about the lengths the FBI went to target these concerned citizens you’ll be fuming mad.

As you may remember, last year, at the behest of the National School Boards Association, Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice issued a memo to the FBI to go after parents who showed up at their local school boards to protest ridiculous COVID mask mandates and Critical Race Theory being taught in their schools.

According to whistleblowers, the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division and Criminal Division responded to this memorandum by creating a new “threat” tag (EDUOFFICIALS) and ordered all FBI agents to apply it to these parents because they dare engage in a protected First Amendment activity.

And once this tag has been applied to a parent, the FBI now has the authority to use counterterrorism resources, including the so-called “PATRIOT” Act, to “investigate” them.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the whistleblowers revealed that such “investigations” were active in every region of our country.

Upon learning of this information, Representatives Jim Jordan and Mike Johnson, who both serve on the House Judiciary Committee, sent a scathing letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland saying, “Parents have an undisputed right to direct the upbringing and education of their children, which includes voicing their strong opposition to controversial curricula at local schools.”

“This whistleblower information raises serious concerns that your October 4 memorandum will chill protected First Amendment activity as parents will rightfully fear that their passionate advocacy for their children could result in a visit from federal law enforcement. You (A.G. Garland) have refused to rescind your October 4 memorandum and its anti-parent directives. In light of this new whistleblower information, we again call on you to rescind your October 4 memorandum.”

Thankfully Rep. Jim Jordan is doing everything he can to make sure as many people learn about this growing FBI scandal as humanly possible.

On a recent appearance on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, Congressman Jordan told viewers, “If you’re a mom, you’re a dad, you’re a gun owner, you’re a Republican and you’re standing up for your kids, oh my goodness, look out, because here comes the FBI.”

And then on Sunday, Rep. Jordan went on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, and called this scandal, “scary stuff.”

While Representative Jim Jordan’s press blitz has been impressive, it is unlikely that it will be enough to force Attorney General Garland to rescind his morally reprehensible memo.

But perhaps it will be enough to force the House Judiciary Committee to investigate this scandal further in the hopes that the next Congress would be more motivated to compel Garland to act.
