Before Joe Biden ended his re-election bid many Democrats openly advocated for replacing Kamala Harris as Vice President.
They blamed her for many of Biden’s struggles and failures but have suddenly changed their tone now that she’s their Presidential nominee.
And Nancy Pelosi made one claim about Kamala Harris that will make your stomach turn.
Harris returns to the left-wing motherland to heaps of praise
Vice President Kamala Harris recently returned to her home in the San Francisco Bay area for a massive campaign fundraiser.
The fundraiser drew in top state Democrats, and the Vice President ended up raising well over $12 million for her Presidential campaign.
The event marks the conclusion of a larger multi-state tour that she and her running mate, Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz, just made to raise money and get new votes.
Unsurprisingly, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom were both in attendance at the event held in San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel.
Nearly 700 people purchased tickets to the event, which cost as little as $3,300 and as much as a whopping $500,000 each.
Pelosi gushed about Harris at the fundraiser, saying, “This is a good day when we welcome Kamala Harris back home to California. She makes us all so proud. She brings us so much joy. She gives us so much hope.”
Pelosi also said that Harris is someone with “great strength” and is a person who is “politically very astute.”
Ironically, many Democrats have long doubted Harris’ ability to lead in any capacity, yet Pelosi now says publicly that she thinks she’s “astute.”
Harris and her running mate Tim Walz just completed a tour of several political swing states including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada.
The pair headlined jam-packed rallies that saw thousands of people in attendance, building on the campaign’s newfound momentum.
When discussing the tour, Harris told reporters, “Folks are coming to these events and they’re bringing with them so much joy. People are singing and they’re dancing in the aisles long before we get there.”
Is Pelosi behind the new campaign?
While she continues to deny it, Nancy Pelosi has repeatedly been credited for helping usher 81-year-old President Joe Biden out of the race.
In one television interview, her comments suggesting that Biden hadn’t decided whether he would step aside or not were widely viewed as giving concerned Democrats the green light to start urging him to leave.
Pelosi continued to sing the praises of Joe Biden’s achievements while simultaneously criticizing his campaign.
Recently, she started to turn her attention to Harris, stating, “She knows the issues. She knows the strategy. She has gotten an enormous amount done working with Joe Biden.”
Harris reciprocated the praise, saying, “There is so much about the future of our country that has relied on leaders like Nancy Pelosi that have the grit, the determination, the brilliance to know what’s possible and to make it so.”
