Nancy Pelosi just made one announcement that was so asinine even Mitch McConnell was left scratching his head

Mitch McConnell has had a concerning couple of months after multiple videos of him freezing and showing stroke-like symptoms during press conferences went viral.

The uncomfortable incidents have raised the question of potential age limits for Members of Congress.

But Nancy Pelosi just made one announcement that was so asinine even Mitch McConnell was left scratching his head.

Frozen in time

Back on July 26, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was giving a press conference inside the U.S. Capitol building.

However, in the middle of his remarks, McConnell started stammering before freezing in place for nearly 20-seconds before his peers ushered him off the stage and back to his office.

Many political commentators and health experts speculated that Kentucky’s senior Senator appeared to have suffered a stroke.

For his part, the 81-year-old ruling class elitist shrugged off any talk of retirement or resignation.

And then, roughly a month later, on August 30, it happened again.

This time the Republican leader of the Upper Chamber froze for nearly 30 seconds at a Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce event in Covington, Kentucky.

Senator McConnell’s issues have raised serious questions over whether there should be a cap on how old an elected official can be and still hold office.

Others suggested term limits could prevent potentially senile politicians from making decisions that govern the lives of all Americans.

Pelosi tells McConnell to hold her Bud Light

But McConnell isn’t the only elderly politician calling the shots in Washington D.C.

President Joe Biden will be 82-years-old just after Election Day in 2024.

Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) is 90-years-old, and checks in and out of the hospital routinely.

And then there’s Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Following the 2022 Midterm elections, Pelosi retained her Congressional seat, but stepped out of Democrat leadership.

The move led some political pundits to speculate the 83-year-old Representative from San Francisco might not seek re-election again in 2024.

However, Pelosi just rained on that parade.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace, Pelosi announced she would be seeking her 20th term in Congress.

“The needs that our city has right now really call for me to stay another term,” Pelosi told Wallace. “I have agreed to stay on another term in order to help meet the needs that we have now. We’re a resilient city — we’ve had AIDS, we’ve had earthquakes, of course we’ve all had the pandemic. We intend to come out of this — resilient city that we are — even better.”

Rep. Pelosi has been representing San Francisco since 1987, and was in Democrat leadership for 20 of those years.

But apparently, if she gets just two more years she can finally clean up the mess she helped create, and has been promising to fix each time she has run for office.

As you can see in the above video, the Democrat Congresswoman has had her fair share of senior moments in front of the television camera.

However, Democrats’ media allies haven’t paid anywhere near as much attention to Nancy Pelosi’s clear signs of being unfit for office as it did with Mitch McConnell’s.
