Kevin McCarthy is on thin ice.
He continues to plot in secret with Democrats.
And now Kevin McCarthy is working on a massive betrayal of Republicans that may very well get him fired as Speaker of the House.
Conservatives in the House of Representatives were furious after Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) surrendered to President Joe Biden on the debt ceiling fight.
McCarthy cut a deal with Democrats to allow Biden to run up unlimited debt until January 2025 with no spending cuts.
Now, Congress is gearing up for a fight over funding the federal government when Members return from their “summer recess” in September.
Conservatives in the House Freedom Caucus outlined a list of demands they have in return for supporting any bill to fund the government by the September 30 deadline.
Those include border security measures to restart construction on the border wall, and tough measures to restrict the ability of illegal aliens to abuse the asylum system to sneak into the country.
Other demands included defunding weaponized government programs in the Department of Justice and FBI, and expunging woke ideology from the Pentagon.
Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) appeared on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast and warned that McCarthy could lose his job as Speaker of the House if he ignores these conservative action items. and instead seeks Democrat votes to pass a government funding bill that maintains the socialist spending levels for Biden’s disastrous agenda.
“McCarthy’s gonna have to listen to people on the right, or else he’s gonna have to rely on the Democrats to pass this,” Jackson stated. “But I’m telling you, if that happens, I mean, it’s gonna be detrimental to leadership in the House if they blow off the concerns of the– of people like myself and the Freedom Caucus and some of the other people on the Right that are making reasonable demands in this process. It’s gonna be a problem.”
Bannon then asked if Jackson and other conservatives were ready to use the new rules that allow a single Member of Congress to introduce a motion to vacate the chair and force a vote on removing McCarthy as Speaker of the House.
“Are you prepared to then move on a motion to vacate to remove McCarthy as speaker?” Bannon asked.
Jackson responded it was “inevitable” that conservatives would introduce a motion to vacate the chair if McCarthy waved the white flag in another spending fight with Democrats.
“Steve, I’m gonna be honest with you,” Jackson stated. I think that that’s inevitable if we continue to rely on the Democrats to pass these important– this important legislation that’s coming out of the House.”
