Public figures especially politicians try and maintain a certain image whenever they’re in the public eye.
Sometimes those very same people get caught red-handed acting in ways they don’t want people to see.
And now Kamala Harris totally humiliated herself with one move even Democrats’ media allies couldn’t defend.
Kamala dodges questions with headphones in her ears
Vice President Kamala Harris has already made it clear that she has no intentions to answer questions on the fly.
She recently walked right past a group of reporters and boarded Air Force Two with headphones in both ears and her cell phone in her hand.
It’s a classic trick deployed by both celebrities and politicians whenever they want to avoid taking questions from the press.
Kamala was offered an uncomfortable salute before she shook hands with a U.S. service member, and casually walked up the stairs to her jet with one hand pressed to her ear like she was listening carefully to an important conversation.
Once she climbed the stairs, she looked back and waved at the group of reporters.
She then paused once more at the top of the ramp to adjust her headphones while holding her phone to her left ear as if she were on a crucial call.
Unsurprisingly, her behavior created a wave of mockery online.
NBC White House correspondent Mike Memoli wrote on X, “She may not have been a senator long, but mastered the ‘Can’t talk, on a call’ play.”
Former Trump 2020 campaign manager Tim Murtagh wrote, “PRO TIP: When pretending to be on the phone when you walk past the press to your plane, do not plug in the headphones so others can see and ALSO HOLD THE PHONE TO YOUR EAR.”
Murtagh added, “This destroys the illusion and tells everyone you’re full of it. . . again. She truly is bad at this.”
Fox News contributor and former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (RINO-UT) simply wrote, “She’s so fake.”
VP can’t hide her phony persona
After her more than obvious attempt to try and dodge the press, Kamala can’t hide her faux attempt to look engaged in a crucial conversation.
Some people joked about the phony behavior, including Breitbart reporter Elizabeth Weibel: “Sorry, too busy to answer questions, I’m listening to the new Taylor Swift song.”
One X user noted how the incident is just a “window into what a Harris presidency would be like. No transparency, no interaction with the press.”
They added that she “wears headphones so she doesn’t even have to hear the question.”
The dodge from Kamala means that she didn’t have to face questions about the execution of six Israeli hostages by Hamas, the state of the economy, or anything else important to the American people.
Meanwhile, her interview with CNN’s Dana Bash lasted a mere 27 minutes and was the only non-scripted interview given since she was nominated by her party.
