Kamala Harris might go down as the least likable Vice President in US history.
She is so desperate for approval, that it’s sometimes hard to tell how she really feels about anything.
But now Kamala Harris has shown Americans who she really is and what she fears the most.
Harris tells Senators they must test negative for COVID-19
The US Congress recently convened for their 118th session.
While House members were duking it out for control over their chamber, Senators were being sworn in.
The swearing-in ceremony had one major catch though.
Anyone who would interact with Kamala Harris would have to provide proof of recent negative COVID test results.
Of course, Kamala Harris is the President of the Senate and as such is required to swear in all new members of the upper chamber of Congress.
She made her COVID announcement the week prior to the ceremony via a spokesperson, Grisella Martinez.
Martinez, who is the director of legislative affairs for the office of the Vice President issued the instructions in a letter to Senators’ offices last week.
Anyone “over two years of age” must show proof of negative test
She wrote, “We look forward to welcoming your Senator on January 3rd, 2023, to the ceremonial reenactment for incoming and newly re-elected Senators in the Old Senate Chamber.”
However, Martinez added, “White House COVID-19 protocols require anyone over two years of age who will interact with the Vice President take a medically-administered antigen test within 24 hours prior to interaction and receive a negative result.”
Though Harris has been a strong advocate for the COVID-19 vaccines, her office says that the “policy applies regardless of vaccination status.”
They arranged for testing to be available at the Senate office building on January 3rd, before convening or asking that people submit their results directly to the White House by 9am that day.
Harris also asked the Senate sergeant-at-arms to distribute “their standard COVID-19 protocol information to offices participating in the reenactment opportunity,” to Senate offices.
Senators condemn Harris as “nuts” and “in a bubble”
This received a strong rebuke from GOP Senators stating that her role is ceremonial at best and that they would refuse to take photos with Harris.
Newly elected Senator Markwayne Mullin from Oklahoma made his feelings clear in remarks to reporters. He said he and his family wouldn’t participate in anything involving Harris.
Mullin said he doesn’t “really care about a photo with Kamala Harris” and that “COVID just exists for those who are in a bubble.” He also explained that he was concerned with receiving a false positive and that interfering with travel back to Oklahoma following the ceremony.
Ted Cruz tore into the rule calling it “nuts” on Twitter. He pointed to the fact that the Senate is split 51-49 and that her only role is to “swear in new Senators.”
Cruz went on to say that Harris is “out of touch” and showing “contempt” by “insisting they all get tested before she’s willing to do her job.”
This is nuts.
About the only thing the VP does (esp in a 51-49 Senate) is swear in new senators. And, with out-of-touch contempt, Kamala is insisting they all get tested before she’s willing to do her job.

Harris’s rule has just exposed how much control they want and the lengths they will go to push their narrative.
