America’s founding fathers designed the impeachment process as a methodical way to hold elected officials particularly the President accountable to the rule of law.
The rule of law is a fundamental part of America’s form of government that ensures not even the President is above the law.
But now Joe Biden’s jaw hit the floor after Congress took one major step toward impeachment.
Joe Biden is about to get a major wakeup call from Congress
For years, President Joe Biden has enjoyed the luxury of hiding behind his Democrat allies in Congress without any fear of facing accountability for his actions.
Now that Republicans are calling the shots, these days of impunity are over.
Not only are top Republicans closing in on several investigations into his family’s alleged rampant corruption, but now, impeachment is also on the table.
On Thursday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) announced that she is introducing articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden.
“It is with the highest amount of solemnity that I announce my intention to introduce articles of impeachment today on the head of this America-last executive branch, that has been working since Jan. 20, 2021, to systematically destroy this country, the president of the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden,” Greene said in a statement.
“His policies, directives, and statements surrounding the southern border have violated our laws and destroyed our country,” she added. “Biden has blatantly violated his constitutional duty, and he is a direct threat to our national security.”
Naturally, President Biden and his allies in the media are losing their minds, calling Rep. Greene every vicious name in the book.
White House spokesman Ian Sams even went so far as to claim the move was a “trolling impeachment attack by one of the most extreme MAGA members in Congress.”
“Is there a bigger example of a shameless sideshow political stunt than a trolling impeachment attack by one of the most extreme MAGA members in Congress over ‘national security’ while she actively demands to defund the FBI and even said she ‘would’ve been armed’ and ‘would have won’ the January 6 insurrection, if only she’d been in charge of it?” Sams claimed.
Hostile responses like this are typical from the Biden White House, which has refused to work with Republican lawmakers whatsoever on legislation that could help improve working class Americans’ lives.
Impeachment is the last thing Biden wants right now
President Biden and his family are facing intense scrutiny from lawmakers after decades of alleged criminal dealings.
This introduction of impeachment articles is the last thing Joe Biden wants to deal with right now.
Although the introduction of Articles of Impeachment is a powerful symbolic measure, it is unlikely that Congress will collect enough votes to impeach Joe Biden.
And even if they do, there is no chance that the Senate would ever convict him.
As long as Chuck Schumer is calling the shots in the Senate, Joe Biden is safe from any legal prosecution.
