For all those who value free speech and first amendment rights the timing couldn’t have been more impeccable.

It was a long sought after and important win.

And now Joe Biden’s efforts to strip working class Americans of their right to free speech just suffered one soul-crushing setback.

A major victory at just the right time

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has given word that a preliminary injunction has been handed down in Missouri v. Biden.

The order – which will surely have significant First Amendment implications – is the latest major development in a protracted legal fight over the boundaries and limits of speech online.

It marks a big victory for Republicans who have often called out Big Tech sites, like Facebook, YouTube, and Old Twitter, of disproportionately censoring those who disagree with Democrats, sometimes in collaboration with the federal government.

Democrats complain that the platforms have failed to adequately police what they refer to as “misinformation” and “hateful speech,” which they say leads to dangerous outcomes, including violence.

This case prohibits the federal government from continuing to coerce and collude with social media companies to censor speech.

Historically, the Biden regime has used complaints of “disinformation” to censor Americans on social media platforms.

The battle has been a longtime in coming.

The lawsuit withstood a motion to dismiss back in March, and to date, individuals from former Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki to Dr. Anthony Fauci have been deposed because of complaints that both worked with Big Tech companies to suppress information on COVID-19.

“The Court has granted our motion to BLOCK top officials in the federal government from violating the First Amendment rights of millions of Americans,” Bailey wrote in a series of tweets. “What a way to celebrate Independence Day. The preliminary injunction prohibits nearly all of the federal government, including DHS, DOJ, and HHS, from coercing and colluding with social media companies to censor free speech, amongst other things.”

“Just as the judge hinted at in our first hearing in May, there is nothing stopping the feds from continuing to censor political speech without this injunction,” he continued.

“Arguably the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history”

In issuing the ruling, Judge Terry A. Doughty of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana said, “If the allegations made by plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history. The plaintiffs are likely to succeed on the merits in establishing that the government has used its power to silence the opposition.”

While this won’t be the final say, the injunction will hopefully provide some protection from government-pushed censorship while the matter is fully adjudicated.
