Joe Biden and the Democrats are weaponizing federal agencies to go after their political opponents.
Senator Ted Cruz has had enough.
And Joe Biden was fuming when Ted Cruz exposed the corruption and lawlessness that runs rampant within the Department of Justice.
Joe Biden has turned the Department of Justice into a corrupt, political enforcement arm of the Democrat Party.
Lawlessness and corruption
During the pandemic, Americans were horrified to learn that Attorney General Merrick Garland had instructed the FBI to spy on and arrest parents who protested mask mandates and Critical Race Theory.
Garland’s Justice Department also labeled parents who protested Marxist indoctrination in school board meetings as “domestic terrorists.”
Not only that, but Nancy Pelosi’s sham January 6 Committee is now trying to convince Attorney General Merrick Garland to bring criminal charges against Donald Trump to prevent him from running for President in 2024.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s FBI is kicking down doors and raiding the homes of several of Donald Trump’s allies allegedly because of the events on January 6.
Ted Cruz ripped Biden’s Department of Justice
During a recent Judiciary Committee hearing, Senator Ted Cruz called out Joe Biden’s Justice Department for doing the bidding of the Biden White House.
Cruz pointed to the violent left-wing activists who protested in front of the homes of conservative Supreme Court Justices in an effort to intimidate them into not overturning Roe v. Wade.
Even though protesting outside of a judge’s home is a violation of both state and federal law, Joe Biden’s Department of Justice flat-out refused to enforce the law and remove the agitators.
After a radical leftist was arrested for attempting to assassinate Brett Kavanaugh, the Biden administration refused to condemn the protesters demonstrating outside the homes of Justices in violation of federal law.
At the hearing, Ted Cruz asked Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Polite, Jr. why the Justice Department refused to enforce the law.
“Congress has addressed this issue,” Cruz began. “It passed 18 USC 1507 making it a crime to protest at the home of a Supreme Court Justice while a case is pending,” Cruz continued. “Night after night after night, these protesters committed federal crimes on national television,” Cruz roared, before asking “why has the Justice Department refused to enforce 18 USC 1507?”
Polite responded by simply noting that one individual had been arrested.
“So, one person?” Cruz shot back.
Of course, there were hundreds of protestors who gathered outside the homes of the Justices in violation of the law.
“What about the hundreds of others?” Cruz asked. “All of whom have violated the law.”
“Why does the Department of Justice pick and choose which laws to enforce, which criminal laws to enforce?” Cruz continued. “Why does it seem to exactly follow the pattern of the partisan preferences of the Biden White House?”
Polite tried to claim “politics does not play any role in our prosecutorial decisions.”
But Ted Cruz refused to let him off the hook.
Cruz once again asked why more people were not arrested for violating federal law and why the department is “refusing” to enforce the law.
“I think you need to follow the law,” Cruz said at the end of the exchange.
With Democrats in control of Congress, there’s not a lot Republicans can do to stop Joe Biden from weaponizing federal agencies against his political opponents.
But the November Midterm elections are just around the corner.
And if Republicans take back Congress like they are expected to do, several GOP leaders are already promising to hold Garland and other bureaucrats accountable for their actions.
