Democrats and their media allies have breathlessly warned for years now that Republicans are somehow “fascists” and “threats to democracy” for daring to disagree with their woke agenda.

But as is often the case with Democrats they seem to simply be projecting who they are onto their opponents.

And now Joe Biden unleashed an attack on the freedom of the press that would make Kim Jong-Un blush.

Biden teams up with Communist China

The Epoch Times is a small, independent media outlet that has been rising in prominence over the past few years.

The company saw an opportunity as mainstream news in the United States has imploded due to a lack of public trust.

Their goal is to provide “honest reporting grounded in ethical journalism.”

The organization has long been targeted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and has even been a victim of arson at the hands of what they call “communist thugs.”

Now, Big tech and Democrats’ media allies are lending the Communist regime a helping hand.

“Today we’re being attacked, shadow banned, and canceled, not only by the Chinese Communist Party but by Big Tech and establishment media,” they say on their website.

But worse of all, the Biden regime has now joined the act, as well, bringing outright fascism onto American soil.

Chief Financial Officer indicted over “fraud through money laundering”

The Biden Department of Justice has arrested Epoch Times CFO Weidong Guan over suspected money laundering this week.

The DOJ alleges that Guan along with an unnamed “multinational media company” and other entities were party to “a sprawling, transnational scheme to launder at least $67 million of illegally obtained funds.”

The allegations center around the use of “cryptocurrency to knowingly purchase tens of millions of dollars in crime proceeds, including proceeds of fraudulently obtained unemployment insurance benefits.”

“Today’s charges reflect this Office’s ongoing commitment to vigorously enforcing the laws against those who facilitate fraud through money laundering,” a statement by US Attorney Damian Williams said.

If convicted, Guan could face up to 100 years in prison.

The Epoch Times will “fully cooperate”

The indictment that was unsealed on June 3 came out of the Southern District of New York.

Prosecutors intend to prove that Guan “conspired to benefit himself, the media company, its affiliates.”

That puts The Epoch Times in the crosshairs of the investigation.

The media outlet has since released a statement saying it will work with the Southern District of New York in every way that they can.

“The company intends to and will fully cooperate with any investigation dealing with the allegations against Mr. Guan,” The Epoch Times wrote in a statement.

The company also confirmed that they have suspended Guan from his position.

However, they maintained that Guan is “innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.”

This case will undoubtedly be scrutinized after months of politicization of the Southern District of New York.
