As President of the United States, Joe Biden is the highest-ranking Democrat in the country.
But that doesn’t make him the most influential member of the Party.
Because Joe Biden just made one announcement that proves Hillary Clinton is the dominant force within the Democrat Party.
When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health ruling, the Left erupted into a fury over the fact that abortion on demand was no longer the rule of law by federal decree in America.
Left-wing protesters hit the streets in cities all across the country to express their outrage over the Supreme Court overturning Roe.
Since Joe Biden is President and Democrats control both Houses of Congress, the Left expected them to take immediate action to codify abortion on demand into federal law.
After all, a draft opinion showing Roe being overturned was leaked to POLITICO nearly two months ago.
Joe Biden had plenty of time to prepare a plan of action.
But the Left was wrong in thinking Biden had a plan to reverse the decision and somehow make abortion-on-demand federal law again in America.
Joe Biden even rejected the calls from the Left to urge Chuck Schumer to eliminate the filibuster to allow Democrats to codify Roe into law.
When pressured further, Biden’s Press Secretary reaffirmed he opposed eliminating the filibuster because it would set a dangerous precedent.
Hillary Clinton took a different position
Unlike Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton wasted no time expressing her outrage over Roe and calling for the Senate to nuke the filibuster and codify abortion on demand into federal law.
“Democrats should take a great big breath and lift the filibuster for Constitutional issues,” Clinton said. “Two that come to mind are a woman’s right to privacy and voting rights.”
Hillary Clinton going against Joe Biden caught everyone’s attention.
With Clinton making all the moves a potential Presidential candidate would make, rumors are circulating that she is planning to run for President for a third time.
Even though Joe Biden says he is running for re-election in 2024, very few in the Democrat Party believe him.
Joe Biden is already the oldest President in American history.
His age combined with his severely declining mental faculties and horrendous approval ratings have many Democrats openly talking about potentially replacing Biden in 2024.
Joe Biden caved to Hillary’s demand
Joe Biden is aware that Democrats and members of the media are discussing the possibility of replacing him in 2024 with someone else.
Sources inside the administration recently told the press that Biden was “irritated” by all the talk of him not running.
Joe Biden is feeling the pressure.
After Hillary Clinton came out publicly in support of ending the filibuster to codify abortion into law, Joe Biden did a complete about face and switched his position.
On Thursday, during a press conference at the NATO summit, Joe Biden declared his support for ending the legislative filibuster in order to make abortion on demand federal law in America.
“I believe we have to codify Roe v. Wade in the law and the way to do that is to make sure that Congress votes to do that,” Biden began.
“And if the filibuster gets in the way, it’s like voting rights, it should be ‘we provide an exception for this’ — require an exception to the filibuster for this action to deal with the Supreme Court decision,” Biden added.
It takes 60 votes to break a filibuster and bring a bill to the floor, meaning Joe Biden needs every Democrat plus ten Republicans to cross over and vote with Chuck Schumer.
Democrat Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema poured cold water on Joe Biden’s plan by announcing they would not support ending the filibuster to codify Roe.
