Hunter Biden can’t seem to stay out of the spotlight when it comes to his laundry list of crimes.
The Democrat President’s corrupt son is facing a plethora of charges including a litany of felony tax crimes and more.
And now Joe Biden blew a gasket after the FBI found this “substance” on evidence connected to Hunter Biden’s felony gun charges.
Cocaine found on Hunter’s gun pouch
The Hunter Biden scandal just got even more interesting.
Five years after Hallie Biden threw Hunter’s firearm in a trash can behind a Delaware grocery store, FBI officials have decided to take a closer look at it.
When agents took the sealed Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver from a state police vault to take pictures, they discovered a white, powdery residue on the gun pouch.
According to a 52-page court filing from Special Counsel David Weiss, “An FBI chemist subsequently analyzed the residue and determined that it was cocaine.”
And now, the prosecution says that “investigators literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant had kept his gun.”
Weiss and his team were responding to a motion attempting to dismiss the gun charges that were filed by Hunter’s lawyers last month.
The team said that they needed to go back over evidence to confirm that Hunter was using illegal drugs when he completed a background check to buy the firearm.
Of course, despite making “countless incriminating statements about his years-long drug usage.” in his 2021 book, Beautiful Things, President Joe Biden’s son now claims that he wasn’t addicted to drugs at that time – exposing himself to another felony charge if he is found to be lying.
Prosecutors noted that Hunter kept pushing forward to write the book, even after he was told that federal authorities recovered the weapon from an elderly man who was going through recyclable items from the trash.
He was also informed that there was an ongoing federal investigation looking into the matter.
Prosecutors also said that there were messages exchanged between Hunter and Hallie, who discarded the gun approximately 11 days after he purchased it.
But according to Hunter’s legal team, Weiss caved to “political pressure” when he brought the firearm charges in Delaware.
No immunity here
In July 2023, Hunter was gearing up to enter a jail-free plea deal for two misdemeanor counts of willful failure to pay taxes, and was planning to join a diversion program for the felony federal firearms charge.
However, once it was obvious to Hunter’s attorneys that the deal wouldn’t give him an unprecedented level of blanket immunity from any other possible charges he may face for other crimes he’s potentially committed or will potentially commit, it fell through.
Hunter now faces three federal, gun-related felony charges, in addition to three felony and six misdemeanor counts pending against him in Los Angeles.
Those charges claim that he allegedly evaded $1.4 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019.
Meanwhile, Hunter says he’s now sober, and is using his recovery as a shield to try and protect him from any further legal examination.
“My struggles and my mistakes have been fodder for a vile and sustained disinformation campaign against [President Biden], and an all-out annihilation of my reputation through high-pitched but fruitless congressional investigations and, more recently, criminal charges for possessing an unloaded gun for 11 days five years ago — charges that appear to be the first-ever of their kind brought in the history of Delaware,” Hunter wrote in an USA Today op-ed last year.
