The FBI meddled in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
But the extent to which the FBI went out of its way to hurt Donald Trump and boost Democrats was previously unknown.
And Jim Jordan was stunned to learn the stunt the FBI pulled to help Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that a transcribed interview with the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force Section Chief Laura Dehmlow shed new light on exactly how the bureau colluded with Big Tech to censor The New York Post’s report revealing the contents of Hunter Biden’s infamous “laptop from hell.”
Rep. Jordan told Hannity that on the same day The Post published a report exposing emails on Hunter’s laptop that contained evidence of a pay-for-play, influence-peddling schemes that implicated President Joe Biden, the FBI was in direct contract with Facebook and Twitter.
Officials at both social media platforms asked the FBI directly if the laptop was real – a fact the bureau had known for over a year – but after first admitting to its authenticity, the bureau’s lawyers jumped in to backtrack.
“What we learned this week is that day that story comes out… the FBI just happens to be meeting with Twitter – that same day,” Jordan emphasized. “And in that meeting, someone from Twitter — we got this from Laura Dehmlow, head of the Foreign Influence Task Force at the FBI, when we deposed her three days ago — that same day, Twitter’s meeting with the FBI. Someone from Twitter asked the FBI, is the laptop real? The FBI — some agent – answers ‘yes, it is.’ And then quickly, an FBI lawyer jumps in the conversation and says, ‘no further comment.’ So, they confirmed it. And then they went to no comment.”
Jordan then told the Hannity host that later that same day, the FBI outright refused to confirm that the laptop was real during a similar meeting with Facebook.
“Later that same day, the FBI is also meeting with Facebook,” Jordan added. “Facebook asked the same question — because that day, that was the biggest story and people were wondering and these companies were wondering, because… they had been prepped to understand a hack and leak operation was coming and it was going to involve Hunter Biden. Here it comes, and they want to know if it’s real. The FBI, in the meeting with Facebook, says, ‘no comment.’”
The left-wing activists who run Facebook and previously ran Twitter, seized on the FBI’s refusal to comment on the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop as a pretext to censor The New York Post’s report.
Not long after those censorship efforts, at the direction of now-Biden Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, 51 former “intelligence community officials” signed onto a letter claiming the laptop was the product of so-called “Russian disinformation,” a claim the media then seized on to support their narrative and coverup the Bidens’ corruption.
The FBI also failed to correct the record in that case.
Now, it’s easy to see why.
This whole ordeal is just further proof that the FBI – and the federal government in general – has been weaponized against Republicans and to protect Democrats.
FBI officials would have never gone out of their way to protect former President Donald Trump or any other Republican if there was damaging information released against them in the closing weeks of a campaign.
But FBI “leadership” knew that if the truth came to light in October 2020, it would have hurt Joe Biden’s campaign – and likely put Donald Trump back in the White House.
