Over the past several decades, Democrats have completely taken over the once-great state of California.
As a result California is suffering from a collapsing real estate market, businesses fleeing the state, out-of-control drug use, rampant homelessness, and crippling crime amongst many other issues.
But jaws hit the floor after Gavin Newsom made this stunning admission on national television.
Democrats are directly responsible for California’s downfall
According to The Los Angeles Times, between April 2020 and July 2022, over 500,000 California residents fled the Democrat-controlled state.
The Times went on to say that unaffordable housing, long commute times, crowds, crime, and pollution in urban areas, which have also been plagued by homelessness, were the primary reasons for this exodus.
Extremist Democrats are directly responsible for this gross mismanagement, yet they consistently refuse to take any responsibility for their destructive policies.
Having said that, California Governor Gavin Newsom shocked the nation when he recently joined Sean Hannity on Fox News’ Hannity.
Despite having very different political views, Hannity and Newsom engaged in a wide-ranging conversation that sent shockwaves across the nation.
Any Californian will tell you that homelessness is one of the top issues facing California, which prompted Hannity to ask the Democrat Governor about the rise in homelessness under his watch.
“This state has not made progress in the last two decades as it relates to homelessness because housing costs are too high, our regulatory thickets are too problematic, localism has been too impactful – meaning people locally are pushing back against new housing starts and construction,” Newsom responded.
He added that he has only been in office for several years which cannot “make up for the fact that in 2005 we had a historic number of homeless under a Republican administration.”
Hannity then pivoted the interview to President Joe Biden, who is seeing some of the lowest approval ratings of his Presidency in recent weeks.
“Here’s the problem, your President can’t have this conversation,” Hannity said to Newsom. “He’s not capable of it. Now, my question is a serious one: Is Joe Biden up to the job of being President?”
“I don’t think he’s capable,” Newsom replied. “I know he’s capable. I see results. I see a master class in results the last few years.”
“I have conversations all the time with him,” he added. “Yes. And I’ll tell you why I do. I’m dead serious about that. I’ve talked to him when he’s been overseas. I’ve been in Air Force One, Marine One. I’ve been in the limo with him.”
Newsom’s claims fail to highlight the damage he has done
It is easy to watch an interview like this and think Newsom is some sort of reasonable politician who is just doing the best he can in a tough situation.
But the truth is, Governor Newsom is one of America’s most extreme woke Governors, and his policies have damaged California beyond repair.
Whether it is demonizing law enforcement, encouraging illegal immigration, or destroying small businesses, Gavin Newsom is responsible for the recent destruction of California.
