Hunter Biden thought that he was untouchable.

He’s thumbed his nose at Congressional investigators and given working-class Americans the middle finger repeatedly throughout the many investigations into his alleged corruption.

But James Comer made one declaration regarding the Biden impeachment inquiry that has Hunter Biden scrambling.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) has declared the commencement of the “next phase” in the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, with Hunter Biden set to testify publicly in an open hearing.

But the drama doesn’t stop there, as Hunter’s attorney has thrown a curveball, casting doubt on the necessity of further testimony.

In a statement, Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, poured cold water on the prospect of additional hearings.

“There is nothing left to ask, answer, say or do,” Lowell claimed.

Lowell lambasted the inquiry as “illegitimate” and a “partisan conspiracy,” suggesting that it should have ended long ago.

Despite Lowell’s dismissal, Hunter’s closed-door deposition on Capitol Hill provided ample fodder for both sides of the political aisle.

President Joe Biden’s son vehemently denied involving his father in his business dealings, blasting House Republicans for their “partisan political pursuit” against his father.

He asserted that Republicans lacked evidence against President Biden, emphasizing in his deposition, “because there isn’t any.”

While Comer hailed Hunter’s deposition as favorable for the investigation, the Democrat President’s son himself left the hearing room expressing confidence in his testimony, deeming the session “great.”

However, a source familiar with the deposition revealed that Hunter emphasized his father’s non-involvement in his business affairs and dismissed the infamous email suggesting President Biden’s participation in their joint venture as absurd.

Amidst the back-and-forth, Comer announced plans for a public hearing, highlighting Hunter and his attorney’s demand for transparency.

Comer emphasized the importance of clearing up discrepancies between statements made during the deposition and those from Hunter’s associates.

The impending public hearing promises to be a showdown, with both sides gearing up for a battle of words.

Hunter, in his opening statement during the deposition, vehemently defended his father’s innocence.

“You do not have evidence to support the baseless and MAGA-motivated conspiracies about my father because there isn’t any,” he claimed.

However, Republicans are not backing down, having heard testimony from several of Hunter’s former business associates who implicated Joe Biden in family business dealings.

With the specter of Tony Bobulinski and Rob Walker’s testimonies looming large, Republicans are doubling down on their pursuit of the truth, despite criticism from Democrats and the White House.

As the impeachment inquiry barrels forward, tensions are at an all-time high, with the Biden family squarely in the crosshairs.
