After a long, will they/won’t they, Elon Musk is now the “Head Twit.”
Musk is hoping to make Twitter great again by restoring free speech on the platform.
But Elon Musk was shocked to hear Donald Trump say these five words about Twitter.
Elon Musk and Twitter have been on a giant wooden roller coaster like the ones you’d find at an old Six Flags amusement park.
After being one of the social media platforms most prominent and controversial users, Musk made a massive, over-priced offer for the tech giant that has yet to turn a profit.
The higher-ups at Twitter resisted, not wanting the DeSantis supporters to bring free speech back to the platform.
However, when it became clear Twitter would face legal challenges from stockholders if they turned down the generous offer, Twitter’s board of directors gave in and accepted the offer.
But then Twitter executives weren’t honest about the number of bots and fake accounts on the platform.
The dishonesty made Musk question his offer and take it off the table.
After some back-and-forth and legal filings by lawyers on both sides, the Tesla founder decided to honor his original offer and buy the company.
Late last week, Musk made a grand entrance at Twitter headquarters and anointed himself the “Chief Twit.”
The SpaceX owner continues to say he will clean the platform and remove the censorship of options that don’t fit with the leftist agenda.
He has already announced he plans to lift “permanent bans,” not believing in lifelong punishments.
Speculation is running rampant that, perhaps, the most famous Twitter user may come back to the platform.
However, Donald J. Trump shocked the world when he revealed his social media use plans.
Are “mean tweets” coming back to Twitter?
The former President posted on his Truth Social account that he loves Truth and he’s “not going anyplace else (as much as they want me).”
The 45th President of the United States also posted a link to a Fox News article, where he doubles down on Truth over Twitter.
“I like Elon and I wish him a lot of luck; I hope he does well with it,” Trump said. “I don’t think Twitter can be successful without me. I am staying on Truth. I like it better, I like the way it works, I like Elon, but I’m staying on Truth.”
Trump stopped short of outright saying he wouldn’t use Twitter if his account is once again made active.
However, the real estate and entertainment mogul has been focused on promoting the social media company he owns, over the one Musk owns.
“TRUTH SOCIAL has become somewhat of a phenomena,” Trump posted. “Last week it had bigger numbers than all other platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and the rest. It also looks and works better to my eye. I am very happy that Twitter is now in sane hands, and will no longer be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that truly hate our country. Twitter must now work hard to rid itself of all of the bots and fake accounts that have hurt it so badly. It will be much smaller, but better. I LOVE TRUTH!”
