Tesla CEO Elon Musk is currently negotiating a deal to purchase Twitter and turn it into a free speech platform.
But ending censorship is not the only major change Musk would likely make at Twitter.
And Elon Musk just issued an ultimatum to Tesla employees that has Twitter staff on edge.
Elon Musk recently announced that he was purchasing Twitter for $44 billion.
However, the deal is currently on hold due to the number of fake bot accounts on the platform.
According to a Tweet from Musk, Twitter originally gave him false information by claiming that fewer than 5 percent of the accounts on the platform were fake bots.
And now the deal is on hold until Twitter can substantiate the number of real accounts that exist on the platform.
“My offer was based on Twitter’s SEC filings being accurate,” Musk Tweeted. “Yesterday, Twitter’s CEO publicly refused to show proof of <5%. This deal cannot move forward until he does.”
Musk vs. The Left
When Elon Musk announced he was planning to turn Twitter into a free speech platform, the radical Left went into a frenzy over it.
“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk tweeted. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans.”
Since the Left depends on censoring conservative speech online, Musk promising to turn it into a free speech platform was a nightmare come true for Democrats.
Aside from being attacked by the Democrats and the media, left-wing Twitter employees threatened to resign if Elon Musk eventually takes over the company.
An undercover video released by Project Veritas revealed one of Twitter’s senior engineers, Siru Murugesan, discussing how employees at Twitter “hate” Elon Musk and are adamantly opposed to free speech.
Murugesan also admitted that if Musk acquires Twitter, that many of his colleagues have stated that “this would be my last day if it happens.”
He also revealed that Twitter’s employees are worried about their jobs because “Musk is a capitalist” and they “weren’t really operating as capitalists, more like very socialist,” saying that hardly any employees actually show up for work at the office each week.
“We’re all like commie as f**k,” he added.
No More Working From Home
If Twitter employees were upset over Musk promising to turn the platform into a haven for free speech, then they’ll really be triggered over the ultimatum he just gave to Tesla employees.
“Everyone at Tesla is required to spend a minimum of 40 hours in the office per week,” Musk wrote in an email titled “To be super clear.” “Moreover, the office must be where your actual colleagues are located, not some remote pseudo office. If you don’t show up, we will assume you have resigned.”
Musk then went on to point out that when he was first building Tesla, the reason it is so successful is because he lived in the factory so he could work constantly on building the company.
“The more senior you are, the more visible must be your presence,” Musk wrote. “That is why I lived in the factory so much — so that those on the line could see me working alongside them. If I had not done that, Tesla would long ago have gone bankrupt.”
When one of Musk’s followers asked him what he thought about Twitter employees claiming that going to an office to work every day is an antiquated concept, he replied that “they should pretend to work somewhere else.”
Keith Rabois, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist and entrepreneur who knows Musk well, sent a warning to Twitter employees that they are “in for a rude awakening” should Musk acquire the company.
The Twitter woke employees are in for a rude awakening. Elon once threatened to fire all the interns for waiting in a long line for coffee at SpaceX and installed cameras to ensure it wouldn’t happen again.

Right now, no one really knows whether or not Musk will acquire Twitter.
But if the deal does go through, the Left will certainly blow a gasket over the way Musk decides to run the company.
