It doesn’t take much for the woke mob to lose their collective minds.
And Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is known to lead her lemming by example.
But news of a potential future Supreme Court ruling sent Warren into never-before-seen levels of outrage.
Politico ran with a leaked document from the Supreme Court of the United States that appears to indicate the high court is ready to rule to overturn Roe v. Wade.
The reaction from the radical Left over the prospect of protecting the lives of the unborn was predictable.
However, Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts’ gut reaction to the news of the ruling draft was caught on video and is must-see.
In the Rumble video, you can see Sen. Warren is so visibly upset, she needs help from her aides to simply walk without falling over.
“I am angry,” Sen. Warren shouted. “Angry and upset and determined. The United States Congress can make Roe v. Wade the law of the land, they just need to do it.”
When a reporter says she’s never seen the Senator so upset, Warren really goes off the hinges.
“This is what the Republicans have been working towards this day for decades,” an exasperated Warren snarled. “They’ve been out there plotting and carefully cultivating these Supreme Court Justices, so they could have a majority on the bench who could accomplish something the majority of Americans do not want.”
From there, with fire seemingly shooting from her eyes, Sen. Warren claimed 69% of Americans support Roe v. Wade.
The number is disingenuous at best.
According to a 2021 Gallup poll, 53% of Americans find abortion to be morally unacceptable.
And while polling does indicate majorities of Americans do support abortions in special cases like the life of the mother being endangered or rape or incest, abortion beliefs in America are far more nuanced than simply pro-Life or pro-abortion.
A Wall Street Journal survey found more voters support a 15-week ban on abortions than oppose it.
And an AP/NORC survey concluded only 34% of people believe abortion should be legal in the second trimester.
The number falls to just 19% in the third.
A far cry from the abortion on-demand, for any reason, and at public expense Democrats like Warren claim Roe guarantees.
Furthermore, if the majority ruling draft, written by Justice Samuel Alito, does become a reality, it would indeed make massive changes in protecting the lives of the unborn in American, but would NOT – as many Democrats are inaccurately claiming – outlaw abortion in the United States.
What it would do is immediately greenlight laws in at least 13 red states making abortion illegal in those states alone.
New abortion restrictions – that set time tables and conditions for abortions – recently passed in states like Florida, Texas, Mississippi, and Arizona would also be protected from federal litigation if this draft ruling comes to fruition.
But the actual facts don’t sit well with Sen. Warren.
As she was screaming false abortion statistics, a gentleman started yelling back that all the Right wants to do is stop the dismembering of children.
At that point, you can hear Warren’s voice begin to shake as she loses control.
“We have a right,” Warren declared. “Extremists, we’ve heard enough from the extremists. And we’re tired of it. Thank you.”
Warren’s wish to have Congress codify Roe into law isn’t looking good.
While there are likely enough votes to get to a 50-50 tie and bring the hypothetical legislation to Vice President Kamala Harris, where she would no doubt vote in favor of it – there are almost certainly not enough votes to overcome a 60-vote threshold required for passage.
And common-sense Democrat Senators Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Krysten Sinema of Arizona have said they will not support killing the filibuster.
All that’s left now is to wait and see if this ruling draft becomes an official SCOTUS ruling this summer.
