Donald Trump was left red with rage after he was handed these recent numbers

Every day it seems more likely that Governor Ron DeSantis should throw his hat into the ring for the 2024 Presidential election.

He is really starting to look like he could give Donald Trump a serious run for his money.

And Donald Trump was left red with rage after he was handed these recent numbers.

A big lead

Donald Trump has made it official that he is running for President in 2024.

A poll conducted by Economist/YouGov had devastating results for Trump.

DeSantis beat out by 18 points and had the support of the majority of the Republican voters.

51 percent said they would support DeSantis, to 33 percent for Trump with 17 percent unsure.

DeSantis also leads Trump with Independents by 12 points.

The Midterms made the difference

Prior to the Midterm elections, Trump was leading DeSantis by over 40 points.

The fact is DeSantis emerged as a major winner on election day, while many Trump-endorsed candidates lost highly competitive races.

Trump-backed candidates lost both the Senate and Governor races in Arizona.

And in Pennsylvania, Mehmet Oz, who was handpicked by Trump, was defeated by John Fetterman.

As a result of a devastating stroke, Fetterman is suffering from severe cognitive impairment that was on full display during a debate and he still won.

There wasn’t a red wave nationally, but there sure was in Florida.

Florida has traditionally been a swing state, but DeSantis has turned it into a Conservative bastion.

When DeSantis was first elected four years ago, he won by less than a full percentage point.

But after four years of governing as the most conservative Governor in the nation, DeSantis won by a landslide.

He absolutely crushed his opponent, former Governor Charlie Crist, by nearly 20-points.

Republicans across Florida rode to victory on DeSantis’ long coattails.

Senator Marco Rubio, whose race was predicted to be competitive, cruised to reelection winning by 16 points.

Republicans expanded their majority in both houses of the State Legislature.

Most importantly, DeSantis helped several Republicans in Florida pick up House seats.

While most Republican Governors and state legislatures tried to play nice on redistricting while Democrat states gerrymandered as much as they could get away with, DeSantis fought back.

He ensured that Florida would have the most favorable Congressional map for Republicans.

With Republicans now taking the Speaker Gavel from Nancy Pelosi, they largely have Ron DeSantis to thank for the victory.

There’s no doubt about it, DeSantis is looking like a winner and recent polls are reflecting that fact.

Donald Trump has recently taken swipes at DeSantis

Trump took credit for DeSantis winning his first election four years ago and gave him the nickname “DeSanctimonious.”

Trump also claimed to have “unflattering information” about DeSantis.

DeSantis recently clapped back when a reporter asked him about Trump’s attacks.

“All that’s just noise,” he said, “really what matters is: ‘Are you leading? Are you getting in front of issues?  Are you delivering results for people? And are you standing up for folks?’ If you do that, then none of that stuff matters.”

“At the end of the day, I would just tell people to go check out the scoreboard from last Tuesday night,” he said.

DeSantis is right about the scoreboard, and these recent polls are showing that.
