Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attempted to reboot his Presidential campaign.
The results are in.
And now Donald Trump sent Ron DeSantis one message that will turn the 2024 election on its head.
After firing 38 staffers due to poor fundraising and pressure from his biggest donors, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attempted to shake up his campaign by doing more media interviews and going on the attack more against former President Donald Trump.
The early returns suggest this strategy failed.
A new RMG poll found Trump strengthened his position atop the polls, and now holds his biggest lead yet.
“With support from 60% of Republican primary voters, Trump commands a 47-point advantage over his nearest competitor in Scott Rasmussen’s latest national survey,” the Daily Signal reported.
To make matters worse, this was yet another poll showing entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy passing DeSantis to move into second place behind Trump.
“Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who tallied 13%, made the biggest gains over the past two months, rising from 3% in Rasmussen’s June 21-22 poll,” the report added. “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is third in the new poll with 8%, dropping 7 percentage points since Rasmussen’s Aug. 7-8 survey.”
Trump responded to the poll on Truth Social, mocking DeSantis and telling the Florida Governor it was time to drop out of the race and go back to his day job.
“NEW POLL JUST OUT: TRUMP-60%, DESANCTUS-8%. It’s over for Ron DeSanctimonious, now in 3rd place,” Trump wrote. “Ramaswamy now in 2nd. RMG Research. Go home to Florida, Ron, and work on Insurance costs, the highest in the Nation!”
Other polls from Fox News and Quinnipiac University also showed Governor DeSantis trailing Trump by nearly 40 points.
The only silver lining was that DeSantis remained in second in both polls.

It’s becoming clear that Democrats continued efforts to imprison Donald Trump are only making him stronger amongst many Republican voters.
