Chris Christie dropping out of the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary caught some by surprise as he seemed content to just attack Donald Trump the entire campaign.
But the former President says he saw it coming.
And now Donald Trump drove Chris Christie up a wall after he revealed the real reason the RINO dropped out of the GOP Primary.
What’s Chris Christie’s end game?
Former President Donald Trump doesn’t mince words, especially when he’s posting on social media.
The former President made it clear why he thinks former New Jersey RINO Governor Chris Christie just dropped out of the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary.
“Chris Christie is ‘kaput,’ strangely deciding to drop out prior to New Hampshire, where has to put in so much time, effort, and money,” Trump wrote. “I hear he will soon be endorsing ‘Aida’ Hutchinson, who last week cracked 1% for the first time, before falling back down to Zero.”
“Chris is desperately seeking a TV job, but sadly, no one wants him,” he continued. “ABC FAKE NEWS can get him back for half of what they were paying him. May he rest in peace!”
Christie recently announced his decision to drop out of the Presidential race just a few days before the Iowa caucus.
During a town hall in Windham, NH, Christie said, “It’s clear to me tonight that there isn’t a path for me to win the nomination.”
The establishment RINO has been a vocal critic of Trump throughout the early stages of the campaign, going after the former President repeatedly for not engaging in debates.
“I want to look at the camera right now and tell you, Donald, I know you’re watching,” Christie said during a September debate. “You can’t help yourself. I know you’re watching, OK? And you’re not here tonight not because of polls and not because of your indictments. You’re not here tonight because you’re afraid of being on this stage and defending your record.”
But Trump isn’t the only candidate that Christie has lambasted.
Just before he announced his withdrawal, he was caught on a hot mic saying that his fellow establishment RINO and former Trump UN Ambassador Nikki Haley was “gonna get smoked” during a debate with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, which aired on CNN.
Not the first time Trump has spoken out
Back in November, Trump had a different opinion as to why Christie decided to run against him.
“I heard they virtually booed him off the stage,” Trump said. “What’s it all about? Is he doing it because I didn’t give him a job in the administration?”
According to Christie, he turned down several offers to join the Trump administration, including an offer to be the Homeland Security Secretary, U.S. Ambassador to Italy, and Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
Chris Christie endorsed Donald Trump in 2016 after he ended his own campaign, but since then, the two have continued to share jabs back and forth and it looks like they’ll continue.
