Since Don Lemon got fired from CNN last year he’s attempted to make it on his own even following the Tucker Carlson blueprint of starting a show exclusively on Elon Musk’s X.
But he’s a failure in every sense of the word.
And now Don Lemon just picked a fight with Elon Musk that he will live to regret.
Don Lemon was “stunned” after he was fired from CNN
Over the past few years, the American public has watched the implosion of corporate-controlled media.
Ratings have plummeted, brands have been sold, and some have even gone bankrupt.
But nothing was more entertaining than CNN’s dismissal of Don Lemon in 2023.
“I am stunned,” he wrote when hearing the news from his agent.
“After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly,” the former news anchor complained.

Lemon said that “at no time” was he given any hints or warnings that he would be fired.
Blaming it on “larger issues,” that were impacting the network, he accepted the reality.
Then, Lemon was extended a helping hand from an unexpected person.
“I’ve heard you. . .and today I am back bigger, bolder, freer!”
“Have you considered doing your show on this platform?” Elon Musk replied on his X social media network.
The X owner suggested that he has a “much bigger” audience and it’s “maybe worth a try.”

The months that followed were full of rumors about the next steps for the radical left-wing pundit.
Then, in January, the moment finally came.
“I’ve heard you. . .and today I am back bigger, bolder, freer!” he wrote on January 9.
“My new media company’s first project is The Don Lemon Show. It will be available to everyone, whenever you want it, streaming on the platforms where the conversations are happening,” he added.
Lemon said that X would be the “first” place to get his show, calling it “the biggest space for free speech in the world.”
But it didn’t take long for the disgraced CNN anchor to realize that he wasn’t going to get all his demands.
According to a March report from The New York Post, Musk and X were willing to engage with Lemon in a negotiation to host his show exclusively on the Musk-owned platform at the time, as the company was in the midst of building up a stable of video content creators through its subscription platform.
But those discussions apparently broke down once Lemon gave X his outrageous list of demands.
“The ex-CNN anchor sent over an astronomical wish list to Elon Musk during contract talks to host a show on the billionaire’s social media platform X – including a free Tesla Cybertruck, a $5 million upfront payment on top of an $8 million salary, an equity stake in the multibillion-dollar company, and the right to approve any changes in X policy as it relates to news content, according to a document reviewed by The Post,” the report stated.

At the time of that reporting, The Post was clear that Musk nor X ever agreed to any of those terms.
But now, Lemon has made a move that shows just how desperate he is.
“Humiliation, mental, and physical pain and anguish. . .”
X Corp. was served with a lawsuit last week demanding damages to be paid to Lemon for “psychological and emotional distress.”
The suit alleges that the former-anchor experienced “humiliation, mental, and physical pain and anguish.”
The disgraced former CNN anchor’s lawyers claim that X received “benefits using Lemon’s name, likeness, identity, and reputation,” and supposedly “deliberately misrepresented what they intended to do” as far as his demands were concerned.
Lemon claims that he agreed to an exclusive one-year deal with X, and would not have done so “if he had known that [X] would fail to deliver on these representations and promises.”
But as The New York Times noted, the disgraced former CNN anchor’s lawsuit clearly states that “Lemon did not sign a contract cementing the agreement, which he believed would be a launchpad for his new show after CNN fired him last year.”
So really, this is just Don Lemon throwing a Hail Mary in the hope Elon Musk would throw him a few bucks as he’s finding out that he’s not very employable post-CNN.
Because even some of the biggest idiots around know that you always get everything in writing.
