Dolly Parton was born in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee.

But she obviously spent most of her life and made a name for herself in the Nashville area.

And now Dolly Parton is beaming with pride over the stand her adopted hometown is taking against this woke extremist scheme.

Gen Z has a crime problem

It should come as no surprise that when one of the two major political parties in America fights to defund the police and pass criminal-friendly policies like cashless bail, while also electing prosecutors who won’t actually prosecute, crime rates skyrocket as a result.

Putting criminals back on the streets – or never taking them off the streets in the first place – obviously leads to criminal recidivism.

However, when Democrat politicians and unelected bureaucrats spin a narrative that claims all criminals are simply loving individuals trying to feed their starving families, it sends the message to Americans that committing crimes is no big deal.

And that message is resonating with America’s most impressionable group.

One can hardly go on social media anymore without seeing young people committing acts of organized crime and laughing about it.

A new poll commissioned by LendingTree indicates that about a third of those within Gen Z have admitted to committing the crime of theft, compared to only 15% for the rest of the population.

Worse yet, out of the Zoomers who have committed theft, 44% don’t even feel bad about it, as they’ve admitted that they plan to keep doing it.

But if the immature thieves thought they could get away with it Nashville, they were sadly mistaken.

Co-owner of the website Trending Politics, Collin Rugg, is reporting that shoppers in Nashville trapped some robbers and prevented a heist.

The attempted burglary happened at a Perfumania store in Nashville and was caught on video.

Police told Rugg that the thieves tried absconding with hundreds of dollars of merchandise from the shop.

However, shoppers weren’t going to let them get away with it and barricade the criminals inside the store to buy time for the cops to arrive.

The crooks at one point were said to have begged the good Samaritans to let them leave.

“South Precinct detectives are continuing to investigate Saturday afternoon’s attempted shoplifting at Perfumania in the Tanger Outlets authorities said,” Rugg tweeted. “Four suspects, who employees said had visited twice in the last week, attempted to steal hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise, but bystanders held the front door to block them from exiting.

The thieves were able to exit through a backdoor in the shop.

But in their hurry, they dropped all of the stolen merchandise, and managed to escape with nothing to show for their criminal efforts.

The hero shoppers are said to have reported that it took Nashville police about a half hour to arrive on the scene.

Fortunately, Tennessee still prosecutes criminals for stealing items that don’t belong to you, unlike many other Democrat-controlled cities.

And in Democrat-controlled California, the state’s Democrat overlords changed the crime from a felony to a $950 optional misdemeanor.
