Possibly no other Democrat member of Congress has been as ridiculed as Adam Schiff.
The California politician has seemingly made a career out of being ridiculous.
But disgraced Congressman Adam Schiff had voters in tears when he announced his shocking next steps.
Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA 28) has made quite a name for himself during his decade in Congress.
Unfortunately, the name he’s made has been a bad one.
From his unending efforts to destroy Donald Trump, to defending censorship, Schiff has become the poster boy for the radical, unhinged Left.
So when he recently made the comment he is considering running for the U.S. Senate, most political observers were shocked.
Schiff may leave the House
Recently, Schiff appeared on KTTA’s The Issue Is and stated he is seriously considering running for U.S. Senate.
The show’s anchor, Elex Michaelson asked Schiff, “It is widely expected that California Senator Dianne Feinstein, who is 89, will retire at the end of her term. You have expressed interest in that job. Is there any reason you would not run for Senate?”
Schiff, ever the elitist, first huffed, “Well, I’m not usually asked the question in that form.”
He then went on to say, “You know, look, I am getting a lot of encouragement to run for the Senate from people in California and colleagues here in Congress. If Senator Feinstein retires, then I will give it very serious consideration. You know, at this point, I think we’re waiting to see what Senator Feinstein has to say about her plans, but yes, it is something I’m giving serious consideration to.”
So, you say there’s a chance, Congressman?
Feinstein of course has come under intense scrutiny lately due to her seeming inability to function mentally.
It appears Schiff, who many believe has his own mental problems, is ready to take her seat – or at least try.
There is no question that if Feinstein does step down it will be a crowded field of candidates who look to win the seat.
At least he has the name i.d.
For all his many faults, the one thing you can say about Adam Schiff is that he does have very high name i.d.
And not just in California.
As the face of much of the anti-Trump activity in Congress, Schiff has built a small, but influential – and rich – cult following, and it is likely he will try to capitalize on that, should he run.
Many believe he would end up being the weakest Democrat to vie for the seat, but it is such a safe Democrat seat, it doesn’t really matter who wins the Democrat nomination.
After all, this is the state that reelected Governor Gavin Newsom despite his policies that have destroyed the once Golden State.
It does appear that Schiff has turned his focus to a Senate run given that he chose not to seek a top House Democrat leadership post in the next Congress.
Minority Leader or majority member?
And multiple people close to Schiff say the California Democrat has been privately mulling over his future in recent months, meeting with his Democrat House colleagues to gauge support for a potential House leadership bid.
But once it became clear the GOP would be in control of the House, Schiff seemed to change his course.
He is no longer vying for a House leadership role, likely Minority Leader, and has instead taken to making calls about a possible Senate run.
Schiff seems more interested in being one Democrat Senator in the majority, than he does in being a leader of the House Democrat minority.
Whatever his final decision, you can be sure he will remain in the media as often as he can.
