Democrats can’t stand the fact that the Supreme Court is the one institution in America they don’t control.
They have a plan to change that.
And Democrats are working overtime on this despicable scheme to remove Justice Clarence Thomas from the Supreme Court.
Democrats understand that if they simply play by the rules, it will take them decades to win enough elections to take back control of the Supreme Court from the constitutionalist majority.
A group Democrat Senators, led by Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) – deranged conspiracy theorist – introduced legislation that would limit Supreme Court Justices serve no more than 18 years on the bench, while also requiring that a new Justice be appointed to the Court every two years.
“The Supreme Court is facing a crisis of legitimacy that is exacerbated by radical decisions at odds with established legal precedent, ethical lapses of sitting justices, and politicization of the confirmation process,” Booker claimed.
“This crisis has eroded faith and confidence in our nation’s highest court,” he added. “Fundamental reform is necessary to address this crisis and restore trust in the institution.”
Just as Democrats always do anytime they lose an election or a court decision, Whitehouse claimed that the Supreme Court is somehow “illegitimate” because former President Donald Trump nominated the Justices who created the constitutionalist majority.
In the case of the Supreme Court, Whitehouse latched onto a deranged conspiracy theory pushed by Democrats and their media allies that the constitutionalist Justices had somehow been paid off by special interests.
“An organized scheme by right-wing special interests to capture and control the Supreme Court, aided by gobs of billionaire dark money flowing through the confirmation process and judicial lobbying, has resulted in an unaccountable Court out of step with the American people,” Whitehouse said in a statement.
“Term limits and biennial appointments would make the Court more representative of the public and lower the stakes of each justice’s appointment, while preserving constitutional protections for judicial independence,” he declared. “As Congress considers multiple options to restore the integrity of this scandal-plagued Court, our term limits bill should be front and center as a potential solution.”
Democrats and their media allies have long taken the position that any time the Supreme Court makes a ruling that goes Republicans’ way, it’s somehow “illegitimate.”
Yet every time a ruling goes the Left’s way – which had been the overwhelming majority prior to 2017 – they put it forward as “fair and just.”
And over the last two years, Democrats have been filled with rage over rulings that expanded the Second Amendment, limited President Joe Biden’s ability to unilaterally impose the Green New Deal by executive fiat, struck down affirmative action in college admissions, and overturned Roe v. Wade.
Democrats can’t stand that major Supreme Court rulings aren’t going their way.
So, a group of woke extremist Senators cooked up an attack on the institution and American democracy to seize more power.
