The Presidential election contest promises to come down to the wire.

But the Kamala campaign is running into issues in a key battleground state.

And now Democrats are coming apart at the seams after this Judge handed them a major headache in this battleground state.

Michigan is closely divided between the two major political parties.

While former President Donald Trump narrowly won the state in 2016, President Joe Biden carried the state in 2020.

Recent polling continues to show the state is a tossup heading into the final two months of the campaign.

Democrats have been counting on a unified coalition to prevail in November, but a Michigan judge’s latest ruling has put their ability to consolidate their base in jeopardy.

Judge James Robert Redford issued a ruling holding that woke extremist Presidential candidate Cornel West must appear on voting ballots in Michigan.

The ruling came just days after West and running mate Melina Abdullah, were removed from the ballot earlier this month due to technical issues.

West has claimed that Democrats were using dirty tricks to remove him from the ballot based on technicalities.

Democrats want to eliminate all opposition

His campaign’s spokesman Edwin DeJesus told the Michigan Public Radio Network, “We are confident that these accusations will be seen for what they are—frivolous and unfounded attempts to stifle opposition and debate.”

In the 2016 election, Trump’s margin of victory in Michigan was only around 10,000 votes.

The fear among Democrats is that as a woke extremist himself, West could poach votes that would otherwise go to Vice President Kamala Harris, allowing Trump to prevail again in the Wolverine State and potentially the Electoral College.

Democrats in other competitive states have sought to challenge West in his quest to appear on those states’ respective ballots.

West won a similar legal battle in Maine where the state’s secretary of state affirmed his eligibility.

But on Friday, a judge in Pennsylvania ruled that West wasn’t eligible to appear on the ballot in that state.

West hailed Redford’s ruling on social media, writing, “Victory in Michigan! We brought thousands of voices to the table, and the court listened, rejecting the Democrats’ technical challenges. This is a win for democracy and for every person fighting for truth, justice, and love. Onward!”

Just the latest headache for Democrats

West isn’t the only third-party candidate that has caused heartburn for Democrats in recent days and weeks.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. withdrew from the race and endorsed Trump last week.

Kennedy cited “a war on our children,” free speech and an overly hawkish approach to Ukraine as reasons he would try to remove his name from the ballot in battleground states.

He said, “These are the principal causes that persuaded me to leave the Democratic Party and run as an independent, and now to throw my support to President Trump.”

Pundits say that Kennedy’s decision could provide a small boost to Trump in key states.
