The Washington, D.C. swamp is coming after Matt Gaetz with guns blazing.
Democrats and establishment RINOs both want Gaetz gone.
And Congress is about to expel Matt Gaetz for this unthinkable reason.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) led the conservative opposition to now-former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for surrendering to President Joe Biden and Democrats on a 45-day continuing resolution to fund their woke, weaponized federal government.
Gaetz warned McCarthy that if he bent the knee to Democrats on funding the government, a motion to vacate the chair would be filed, and the Speaker would be removed from his position.
The Florida Republican made good on that threat, and now, McCarthy has become the first Speaker of the House to ever be removed during a legislative term.
Rep. McCarthy’s ruling class allies fumed and sought retribution, leaking to media outlets that they planned to file a motion to expel Rep. Gaetz from Congress if a sham investigation Democrats launched into already debunked charges of sex trafficking and drug use gives them the opening.
“One Republican lawmaker pointed to the ongoing Ethics Committee investigation into Gaetz, warning if he wasn’t cleared, he could get expelled by those who want him gone,” CNN reported.
“We want him out,” an anonymous House Republican told the outlet.
“House GOP members are seeking to quickly expel Gaetz if the ethics report comes back with findings of guilt,” Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich also reported. “Following threats to vacate McCarthy, one tells me, “No one can stand him at this point. A smart guy without morals.”
Gaetz responded with a post on social media mocking the fact that a collection of establishment RINOs wanted retribution for his insistence that McCarthy live up to the commitments he made to House conservatives on reigning in out of control spending in order to secure the votes needed to be elected Speaker.

The Biden Department of Justice declined to prosecute Rep. Gaetz on sex trafficking charges last year as the allegations were proven to be baseless as they lacked any evidence.
But now, the matter is before the ruling class elites on the House Ethics Committee.
And McCarthy’s allies see this as their chance for payback, and to send a message to conservatives that challenging the ruling class elites always comes at a price.
In many ways, this is exactly the same ethos at play in the Democrat Party’s lawfare against former President Donald Trump – he’s facing civil and criminal trials simply because he won the 2016 election and could potentially win again in 2024.
Establishment Republicans now have no problem running Democrats anti-Trump playbook against Matt Gaetz.
