Bill Gates said two words about the 2022 election and warned Forbes America may be heading for war

The idea of a new American civil war has been getting a lot of media coverage lately.

Some people might be profiting off fear, while others are sincerely concerned about it.

But Bill Gates said two words about the 2022 election and warned Forbes America may be heading for war.

2020 was a year fraught with political turmoil and violence in the streets

The past several years, headlines seem to be more frenzied and chaotic than they have in times past.

The summer of 2020, called the “summer of love” by some psychos, saw cities across America burn and businesses looted after the death of George Floyd.

People are still trying to assess the full scope of the widespread destruction, but it’s been said that the damage was in the billions and dozens of innocent lives were lost.

The election saw 46 states participate in a lawsuit questioning state rules of the 2020 election

Then came the election where Americans saw the state of Texas suing the state of Pennsylvania over their election practices.

That lawsuit saw 46 states sign on to one side or the other.

When Joe Biden took office in 2021, he promised to unify the nation and to represent all Americans.

At this point, it would be very difficult to find a single Republican voter who thinks he came anywhere near fulfilling that campaign promise.

In fact, more recently he gave his dark “Soul of a Nation” address where he declared that MAGA Republicans were extremist and a danger to the American way of life.

In the short time that has passed since that speech, we’ve already seen an uptick in political violence.

A man in North Dakota ran a Republican teenager over with his car after a political disagreement.

After paying an extraordinarily low cash bail of $50,000, he’s out on the streets without a curfew awaiting trial.

In another incident, an 83-year-old woman was shot in the back while going door to door with pro-life literature.

We’re now facing the possibility of another complicated election and some fear it could lead to violence

Now even prominent businessman Bill Gates is making a bold prediction about what happens next.

Bill Gates famously predicted a global pandemic on its way before COVID-19 emerged.

Now Gates has a new warning for America, and it shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Gates said, “I admit that political polarization may bring it all to an end, we’re going to have a hung election and a civil war.”

He also said that he has no “expertise in that” so he isn’t going to divert any of his money to it.

He blamed polarization on misinformation that has led to a “lack of trust.”

Gates blames “conspiracy theories” and “misinformation” for political polarization

Gates has often been a target of conspiracy theories and he pointed to some vaccine hesitancy as an example of trust being broken by misinformation.

He pointed to “One of the best-selling books last year,” by Robert Kennedy which says Gates likes “to make money and kill millions of people with vaccines.”

There’s been a strong reluctance to trust governments and institutions in the wake of COVID and people are looking for leaders they can trust.

Gates simply thinks “the truth is kind of boring sometimes,” which leads people to look for something else to explain the world.

He did admit even though he’s worried about “increasing polarization in America,” he is “generally optimistic about the future.”

Despite Gates’ expressed optimism, polling data is regularly showing more Americans expect civil war could happen in their lifetime.

We can all certainly hope Gates and the polls are wrong this time.
