Joe Biden and the Biden Democrats have a history of being not at all timid when speculating on motives for those accused of illegal activity.
But rampant speculation only occurs when the accused fit an existing narrative of the political Left.
That’s why in the case of the Texas terrorist attack Biden has been noticeably reserved in his commentary.
Recently a British terrorist named Malik Faisal Akram took four Americans hostage at the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, Texas.
An FBI Hostage Rescue Team rescued the four while Akram was killed by agents.
By Sunday, Biden acknowledged that the Texas incident was “an act of terror” – but he didn’t want to make any guesses as to what may have precipitated the attack.
“No, I don’t. I — there’s speculation, but I’m not going to get into that. I will — I’m going to have a press conference on Wednesday, and I’ll be happy to go into detail of what I know in detail at that time,” Biden said on Sunday.
Before meeting his end at the hands of the FBI, Akram demanded the release of one Aafia Siddiqui, a jihadi known as “Lady al Qaeda.”
There’s no doubt why Akram’s only target was a synagogue.
It’s not at all surprising that Biden is so reticent when it comes to discussing Akram’s motives, but it wasn’t all that long ago where Biden was far less reserved.
There’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night. pic.twitter.com/Q3VZTW1vUV

Only a little over a year ago Mr. Unity himself just couldn’t bear to let a crisis go to waste.
Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed two people in what was later determined to be a clear cut case of self-defense during the Kenosha riots in the Summer of 2020.
Only that time, Biden was only too happy to link Rittenhouse to white supremacists in a CNN interview with Anderson Cooper.
Getting it completely wrong, Biden stated, “I don’t know enough to know whether that 17-year-old kid, exactly what he did, but allegedly he’s part of a militia coming out of the state of Illinois. Have you ever heard this President say one negative thing about white supremacists? Have you ever heard it? That’s the reason I got back in this race because of what happened in Charlottesville.”
Rittenhouse was found by a jury to have acted in self-defense.
He also was never part of a militia, but Biden is never one to let facts get in the way of a narrative helpful to the leftist cause.
To date Biden has never apologized to Rittenhouse but it only seems fair that he should, given his newfound appreciation for letting the facts speak for themselves.
